Davis: Performance of the battery is good, my main gripe being that I bought a second a little later and its totally different, different case, different handles, different (smaller terminals), different country of manufacture. Both 2021 trademark date but one built in Malaysia, one in Vietnam.
They also charge slightly differently with the same charger at the same time. This is mostly for those needing two batteries, beware...

R: It is for my backup sump pump system and is nice. I expected an Interstate Battery to be made in the USA , which is why I choice this battery, but it is an ported battery. Very disappointed.

Daphne MooreDaphne Moore: I purchased the Pump Sentry backup system for my sump pump (see my review on that page) and am using this battery to provide power in the event of an outage. I had read a review on this particular battery that will provide 20 hours of power in the event of an outage and confirmed the math according to the specs vs other batteries. I feel confident with this purchase and bought a case to enclose the battery in for protection. Note: this battery is very heavy and difficult to move in a tight crawl space but is very worth having it as the power supply for outages. So far I haven't had any outages that required it to "kick in" but I did test it with the Pump Sentry alone and my sump pump worked fine.

First the obvious - The battery is as big and very heavy as you’d expect from the description. I used a dolly to roll it to where it was installed and I felt sorry for the UPS delivery person.
If this is a new installation I recommend the use of a side terminal style automotive type knife switch, a 200 Amp automotive fuse, and #2 AWG battery cables (with 3/8” lugs). While the 3/8” lugs are slightly larger than optimal for the battery post, they work.
I received the battery and assumed I’d have to charge it for several hours on my 10A charger before installing it, but it actually was fully charged in less than half an hour meaning it was fully charged when I got it.
