The Reach Barrier 3009 Garage Door Insulation Kit is the best way to weatherproof your garage door. Our customers rate it highly for its overall satisfaction, quality material, strong adhesion, and great value for money. Keep your garage warm and dry with this top-notch insulation kit.Benjamin D. SmithBenjamin D. Smith: The kit comes with two things, the insulation panels and double sided sticky pads. The panels are thin and very flexible. They easy fit inside the sections of my garage door. That makes for a very clean, professional looking final product. I was able to complete the process in about 45 minutes. I should have taken a little extra time to thoroughly clean each section of my door. The adhesive pads need a very clean surface or they don't stick. Lucky for me I had some double sided tape. If you buy this get, get some double sided take or extra sticky pads, this kit does not include any extra. If your garage door has 8 sections, only 6 sticky pads per section are included. It would be better if the manufacturer included another box of sticky pads. I think having 8 pads per section would be better for installation. That's my only complaint.

Energy Star: Overall good quality product. It works well in summer as well as winter.
Please consider following two points:-
1) Leave the product outside the box on the floor for a day or two. The product comes in not as rolled in the box, so it has few bends on it. When you install it immediately you can see that the panels have line marks on them and do not look good at all.
2) The sticky squares that come with the box are not enough. Please buy more sticky squares or two-sided tapes for better adhesion and the product looks flat on the garage panels.

A. bottorffA. bottorff: I live in hell (NorthTexas In the summer and it is HOT) --and my home faces E / W with the garage door getting blasted by sun after about 1 pm every day it is HOT in my garage once the sun comes over and these pictures were taken on a 95 degree day (summer cold front!) at about 4 pm there is about a 40 degree difference between the uncovered and covered panels, yes the garage is still hot but it is definitely better. I have been considering doing something to cool the garage for years since that heat makes its way into the house / attic and makes my AC work that much harder. After reading a few reviews, I decided to give this a try, I thought "tin foil on the door" how much difference can it make??? well turns out it is noticeable - the garage is still hot it is 100 outside today again and the garage is hot but not unbearable like it normally is probably not much worse than outside the house and I can touch the garage door (normally you can't without burning your hand in the summer the day before the thermometer showed 170 on the uncovered panels! its about expectations.. so if you expect this foil stuff to make your garage into a living room, you will be disappointed; but if you...

Jeff BuchananJeff Buchanan: I looked at the published R-values of this product and NASA Tech. They are both broadly listed as R-21. There are better insulating products available usually of the fiberglass batt type but these can be "dirty" and difficult products to install. The NASA Tech originally looked like the best bet but to install it, I would have had to remove the hurricane straps (5 of them), unroll the NASA Tech, marking the holes where the hurricane straps were bolted and reinstall the hurricane straps and bolts. Not a small job. I elected to purchase Reach Barrier becasue of the pre-cut panels. First, one box covers a single car garage door. For my project I needed two boxes for a 7'h X 16'w door. Second, each panel in the Reach Barrier Kit is 24" X 48". There's enough product to do 16, 24" X 24" panels per box Third, not every panel on my garage door (an Amarr Product) is the same size. The outside panels (closest to the roller tracks) are 25" wide, 21" high. The others are all 23"w X 21"h. Each panel had to be trimmed from the stock panels in the kit. I started the project by myself by marking the dimensions with a marker, labeled the L corner and top of each trimmed panel and would trim the...

Kindle Customer: I basically had to custom cut each piece and then patch them together a bit with foil HVAC tape (not provided). The 2-sided tape was useless, so I went with a hot glue gun instead in the same 5 spots recommended. Then just tuck them in. Does the job nicely and if you take the time to cut and piece together the panels carefully it is not at all a bad look. It is as effective as any of the kits I've seen because they all use the same insulation.
