UnGarbled-Tech - reviews: This is my 2nd one. I used my first till it just died.
It's not you classic instapot pressure cooker. But dont let that stop you.
Full disclosure, I thought I found a cheaper instapot classic. I have all the models of instapot

First off super easy to clean = really

You can make rice , to stew. , chili to roast beef.

Sadly I haven't found even the YouTubers using this amazing product.

There is a saute option that works really well.

The time is the best part. I'm jewish orthodox and on the sabbath you can't use electric or cook. All had to be done before the sabbath.

A very traditional meal on the sabbath day is called cholent . ( like a meat stew. )

Here is what I do before the sabbath Friday.

1. Saute onions with oil it's a half hour by default so don't forget to mix ingredients.
2. I take the neck bones and saute
3. Then I cut up the potatoes
4. By now the saute is done
5. I add all the rest ingredients ( barley , more oil , paprika , salt and pepper, water ( I use beef broth )

Ok now the best part
Once you have all ingredients together set it to stew you can vary times I use 2 hours

The...

Janet ThompsonJanet Thompson: The media could not be loaded.  I felt compelled to make a video after seeing all these bad reviews, about the Slow Cook function not working. I'm pretty certain that people press the Delay Start button after pressing the Slow Cook function. I think some people think it's a Delay AND Start button, but it's not. If you press the Delay Start button on Slow Cook low, your meal will start cooking in six hours, plus the six hours it takes to cook it on low for a total of 12 hours. The number displayed on your screen 6 hours for Low and four hours for High, represents the amount of time before your meal starts cooking.

Stephan M.: I am very satisfied with the Aura Pro overall. After using this for a while to cook rice, slow cook and stew, I am happy with all these functions - even though I had to play around with the amount of water for the rice, it got too dry following the instructions.

However, the baking function was a disappointment as the contents of the slow cooker burned at the bottom. One star off for that, since I did not really buy it for that.

The device looks complicated, but operation is very intuitive.

pealing No -Stick coated pot!! Love the Stainless steel pot. Easy to clean, the cooker is easy to use...A well made product.
Hopefully there will ALWAYS be a version of this cooker. From Searing to Simmering, this is Truly a Multi Cooker...No issues so far....

UnlikelyPotato: As an owner of an original instant pot, I was a bit let down it didn't offer sous vide ability. I bought this because I was otherwise satisfied with my instant pot. I'd say this is a game changer. People are dumb and don't understand how this device works. For slow cooking or sous vide it will SLOWLY heat up the contents to avoid exceeding the actual temperature. Temperature sensor is on the bottom or side, if you put in cold food, it will take a long time for the slow cook setting to warm up the entire contents. If you require the contents to rapidly get hot, either use a different setting or put in warmer stuff. Someone was complaining it didn't simmer' when setting food to 175. 175 is below boiling, you won't get a 'simmer' at 175.

I mostly use it for sous vide. Fill it up with as little hot water as needed to cover whatever you want with an inch or two of water. While it's heating up the already hot water, prep the food, season, and vacuum seal. Sous vide is stupidly simple. There's no burning, because the temperature is slowly controlled, things heat up precisely every time. You can appreciate the differences between meat cooked at 138, 140, and 145 degrees. That said,...

BDK: I chose the Aura Pro model because it included a Sou Vide mode. The other features were just a nice addition. Unfortunately I went through two machines, both failing at Sous Vide. There were two problems. First, the temperature control was very poor. On both machines it heated the water 4 to 5 deg too high. For example when, in one test, I set the desired temp at 153 degF it heated the water to 158 deg. The second problem was that the machine had trouble seeing that it was ready to cook. In my example, after it had reached 158 deg it remained in preheat setting for a further 45 mins before finally changing the display to cooking and starting the timer countdown. The Aura Pro has received a number of positive reviews for it's Sous Vide mode so I assume the examples I received suffered from a production problem not one with the design of the unit. It may still be worth giving this a try since the problems I had are immediately obvious and AZ has a good return program. For me twice was enough!

J. R. M.: Overall this is a great product. I wish this product showed the exact degree in Fahrenheit at which it is actually cooking at all times. It is disturbing to push HI or LOW and not know what that really means.
Above certain temperatures you can mess up your recipe. Below certain temperatures you can mess up your cooking. SO why not let the user see what is actually happening? It is called transparency. In cooking it is called quality control. And most cooks are well served by know when in the cooking cycle and at what temperature a food is at.
A very sad engineering oversight.

This becomes more dangerous when the wrong temperature -- too low for too long -- can actually create the perfect environment for culturing bacteria. I was shocked to learn this the hard way.

I was cooking a SLOW cook menu. I set the SLOW cook time to 3 hours, I set the temperature to 175 degrees.
Yet 2 hours into the cooking cycle, I noticed there was no simmering yet. So I placed the thermometer into the stew and at the end of two hours this SLOW cook cycle was only operating at a temperature of 107 degrees ! ! ! !

Think about that. The user expects a 3 hours SLOW cycle and for...
