Sally Traver: I so love this series! There are so many reasons. Who doesn’t love a good mystery. Add to that centered around a bookstore and all the wonderful and meaningful quotations! And to top all that off a great group of interesting and lovely characters. You won’t be disappointed.

Winter: I loved the story and the characters. There were lots of layers to unfold. Character were very engaging. And even to the very end there was one more hidden secret to pull the story together.

Sherry Sharpnack: Nora runs the bookstore in Miracle Springs, NC, a mythical town just off the Appalachian Trail, where they seem to celebrate an inordinate number of festivals. LOL. Nora is renowned as a "bibliotherapist," who can match any customer's reading needs to the exact proper book to help them deal w/ whatever issue is troubling them. I love this bit of magical realism, along w/ friend Hester's ability to bake "comfort scones." The third and fourth members of the "society" are June, who manages the local spa's therapeutic springs and knits therapeutic socks, and Estella, a beautician who improves people's lives w/ her talents. Each of these women have a devastating secret which they have slowly shared w/ the friends in their book club, and w/ us.
In this outing, #4 in the series, a new artist, Celeste, and her daughter, Bren, have just moved to town and are opening a shop called "Soothe." Their bakery products contain CBD, which as we are all learning, can be used to treat a variety of conditions. In many ways, Soothe could compete w/ other businesses in town, such as the products sold at the spa and Hester's bakery. Instead of being jealous, however, the women in the Society resolve...

Kindle Customer: I loved this book. Lots of strong women in it that tells their stories. As Nora would have said "there is always a lesson learned in a book"

Nikkib: Fabulous book at usual in this wonderful series from Ellery Adams. Set in a bookshop in Miracle Springs, Nora Pennington is the owner, and together with her friends, fellow Miracle Springs residents, she helps the Police solve the suspicious deaths which occur in the town.

This is a great cozy mystery series, all of the main characters have strong personalities and have their own secrets which they share amongst themselves, moulding them together as a group.

These books are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and series.

I'm so looking forward to the release of the next book. I need to read this wonderful authors other books in different series.

KymmLisa: I'm so sad to say I finished the Secret, Book & Scone Society series by Ellery Adams with the 4th book Ink and Shadows. I've gotten to know and fall in love with this great group of ladies and look forward to all they get themselves into. This one was as good as the other three and a great way to finish it up. Of course I'm still holding out for more in the series, but so far no word on them.

The women of the society by now are familiar with trouble coming their way. Nora Pennington, the owner of Miracle Books is known for her amazing window displays and this time her and her assistant Sheldon have put one up that has offended a very conservative women's group who are targeting her shop among other woman owned business THEY feel are not compatible with THEIR values. Nora is not going to stand for their version of hatred and leaves the window alone, while trying to help the other businesses continue drawing customers even with the bad mouthing the women's group is doing. But like the other books in the series someone ends up dead and Nora happens to be there at the scene when the police show up. Her and her society have gotten pretty good at solving crimes, so when the...
