JahkiBoy: This tool is rather impressive. I did a lot of homework before making the investment in this everyday carry of mine. Unfortunately, the gears in the planetary gearset went out after a few weeks of use. It was soon enough that I returned to amazon with the intent of exchanging it. Amazon did not have this as an option and refunded the money to me the day after I dropped it off at UPS. Well enough, because at the time an unexpected expense arose and I could now cover with the refund. I absolutely will be buying another one soon as I believe the failure in my tool was a low likely factor defect as it would skip and stutter while impacting.
It has all the power someone looking for a 1/2" impact could require. Charge time from dead was less than three hours. Due to the choice of battery type (Lithium Ion rather than NiCad) you don't have to completely discharge the battery before charging, meaning if you are working in a shop, with a charger accessible, a single 5AH battery is all you need. Even if you let the battery charge drop fairly low, the impact will just keep giving it or you can place the battery on the charger for a quick top off.
A must have for road or field...

D. Hockenberry: One of my first tests was removing rusty 1-1/2" lug nuts on a 26' former Roadway 18 wheeler trailer now used for storage. It had been decommissioned from road use at least 15 years ago, perhaps longer. This gun took them off with no struggle to speak of. I wish I had made a video.
Update: My second real test has been to remove head bolts on an 18 year old, 167,000 mile Ford Escort. It removed all except one with no effort whatsoever and the final holdout took maybe 30-60 seconds of hammering off and on...I hit it a little bit, moved on to another bolt, came back to it, hit another bolt, and so on and so forth until I had no other bolts remaining and just sat on it for maybe 15 seconds straight. No real problem, considering 60 seconds really isn't a very long time. It only feels like it when you're scared to death that the stud will snap off at any given moment. I had approximately half a charge (probably less considering the inaccuracy of basic LEDs indicators) and when I was finished I had one LED still lit. I don't know if this is considered high or low battery consumption but since I have the two battery kit, they charge fast, I broke a head bolt on another Escort with a...

mike1yis: As a Canadian shopper, I've been eyeing this tool on amazon.com (US) for a while, waiting for an opportunity to go to the US to buy. Then I just happened to check amazon.ca (again) and with the currency conversion it's priced quite competitively. The tool is excellent. 3AH batteries are the way to go, they last a long time and you get two with this kit. Hard plastic case is nice. Very happy to see amazon.ca is starting to catch up with it's american site in terms of pricing and shipping! Thanks

PepePepe: The media could not be loaded. This tool is serious business!!!
I do like power tools not only as a tool but also as modern art man toys. Ok, I agree, I'm a little bit crazy but this is true :)
This tool has enough torque to do everything I reckon a DIY or even a pro (which I'm afraid I'm not) can do with a car... wow I'm amazed.
Look how easy it is even when I'm right handed and in this video of me trying the tool for the very first time, I'm using my left hand. It is fantastic!!!
I was very nervous about buying an impact wrench because first of all, I know absolute nothing about impact wrenches of any kind and second, I needed the tool was able to work my cars toughest nuts like the ones in the suspension and tires.
The thing is though, While I loooooove DIY and loooove fixing (sometimes what I get is the opposite :) ) my cars, I have wrecked 4 of my intervertebral discs. First because I got too fat, second because I've been careless and finally because I'm not getting any younger so now I need real support from my tools for me to be able to keep my hobbies in sync with my health. I has to say, this may be my very first really pro...
