Judith F.: This bug zapper really works well! I ordered this wall-mount (wall hanger included) zapper along with two other tabletop models...this is the only one that did the job (...I returned the other two). As soon as I turned it on, the zapping commenced...flies and mosquitos dropped one after another. It DOES have a very audible zapping sound (as another reviewer mentioned), but I like hearing it as it tells me it's working. The loudness of it doesn't even faze my cats...I thought it would. (I guess they're used to the loud cars driving by.) I want to order a couple more for next summer, so I'm keeping an eye out for a lower price. The one I ordered was on sale, presumably because of its' color...the corner pieces are pink, and that batch was marked-down in price. I don't care WHAT color the thing is, as long as it works...which it does!!
NOTE: There are a couple replacement bulbs inside the unit (packaged in cardboard in the lower portion), so be careful opening the unit to remove them for storage. Squeeze the metal screen/grate at each side, and lift to remove...gently.

Lauren Mikkelson: Worked really well, until I had to change out the bulbs. I’ve reinstalled and adjusted the light bulbs but they aren’t working. I really wish it would work again! It killed all the flys, mosquitoes and moths that found its way into my home.

Debbie Nelson: This is our second one. We have macaw parrots who cause a fruit fly issue due to dropping fruit we thought they ate but didn't. This gets them at night. It's also great for in the summer when a few flies sneak in the house or moths. If we just wait, eventually, they'll come to this unit and get fried. I wouldn't be without one. The bulbs for it aren't expensive and last about 6 months. It's easy to clean, just vacuum it or take the bottom tray out and clean/dry it, and replace it. We've had one for about 10 years, and finally, something made it quit. My hubby is an electrician who looked at it, and then when he saw the price to order a new one, said just get a new one because it was well worth it.
