Hygger Stick-On Digital Aquarium Thermometer with High/Low Alarm Functionality

Steve: The unit works well, and the temperature is accurate. I like the high/low warning capability. My only issue is battery life. I only get a couple months out of a battery before it needs to be replaced. Deducting one star for the cost of the batteries.

L. Patterson: I had written a 3 star review but now I had to delete that review.
When it got hot here the temp wouldn't read right, even though the tank temp didn't fluctuate.
Then the battery died.
Garbage. Absolute junk. Get a plain old thermometer that sits in the bottom of the tank. There have been around for decades and they never fail and never needs batteries.

ReefGirlVickiReefGirlVicki: I use alot of different Hygger products & have never been disappointed with them so when I saw this cool little digital temperature reader, I had to order it!

The main thing I love is that it tells me the temperature inside my tank without having any wires sticking out of the tank. It makes my set up look alot neater & cleaner. It's also a nice little size that doesn't take up too much space on the glass!

As for accuracy, I've compared it with both my digital heater's readout & my Hanna Temperature Probe - it was reading the same temperature on all three so it appears to be excellent in that aspect. It also has a feature to set your minimum & maximum desired tank temperature & will let you know if it drops above or below them which is pretty cool! Plus the display is crisp, clean & bright enough to see from a few feet away.

I would most definitely recommend this little gadget if you are looking for a nice, clutter-free way to know the temperature inside your aquarium.

Proud USA Ukrainian.: These aren’t worth it.
First of all, you have to permanently stick it to the outside of your tank. Once stuck on your tank, the tape that’s used is useless if you remove the thermometer and would take finding double sided tape and cutting it out perfectly to be able to put it back on. The unit uses a little metal sensor on the back, so if the unit is not stuck to the tank, the sensor won’t read the temperature.
Don’t ask me why their aren’t affordable options for a reliable thermometer with a loud alarm?!?
It also runs through batteries extremely fast!
Both of mine ran from full battery to dead in less than two months.
And the alarm? lol! Its a joke!!! It’s so quiet!!! It’s absolutely useless unless you have the thermometer put up to your ear!
It has no backlight, so you can’t view it in low light or darkness. And it’s not waterproof, so if you spill water on it, it’s toast!
Waste of resources.
I had high respect for Hygger before trying these thermometers out. Now I know Hygger does make junk.

chris miller: Has two sided tape on entire back, so it's not going anywhere. Tested 100% accurate. Has easy to set high/low temp alarm. Easy access battery door. Uses a much more standard sized and larger button battery. Supplied with Energizer branded battery. Comes in very nice and padded box.

I also have a Fluval, as well as the common digi with suction cup and probe. I also tried the clear/ see-through Chinese branded thermos. This is by far my favorite.

I have Hygger LED lights and sponge filters too. Can't speak highly enough of the brand.

UPDATE *** I have to replace the battery every other month. Not a huge issue, as you can buy them in bulk for not too terribly much, but still should be mentioned. My Fluval is still going on initial battery and I've had it longer.
