Hawke and Dove: I love this book. It takes the anti-Bible propaganda head on and obliterates it. This book can be one of a Christian's best friend and an atheist's nightmare. There's just too much anti-Christian propaganda out there on the internet as well as in the mainstream media. Many times, this propaganda can attack Christians and leave them wondering about their faith. In some cases, Christians end up abandoning their faith because of very difficult hard-to-take verses in the Bible. This book is for them and those who need answers to the very verses that atheists will use to attack Christianity. A must get. One of my top go to books.

Hez H-: This is one of those books that you can read by topic. You can jump around. It is very informative and interesting.

Charles Holcomb: This book looks at many questions raised by persons critical of the Bible and some of the stories contained within it. It provides a method of looking at the questions raised by critics and sets the events in the time period in which they occurred. The times and culture then is substantially different than the time we live in and must be read according to the practices and cultures in which they occurred. The explanations are credible and clear. It would be a great benefit to Christians to read the book to understand the stories and explain them to those criticizing them.

Richard Childs: I see people Bible so much these days and I have been looking at various resources to help but this is the best one yet. Now I feel much more confident to talk to others about the Bible and what it means to me.

Christopher T. Slaterbeck: This book was very easy to read, but also very informative. I would recommend it to anyone having doubts about the more difficult portions of the Bible (primarily the Old Testament). I especially liked his inclusion of popular anti-Bible memes and how he addressed the issues in the memes head-on in an approachable fashion.
His most important, and often repeated, piece of advice was to "never read a Bible verse." Said by itself, this sounds like he's saying to never read the Bible, but what he's really saying is to never read a SINGLE verse by itself. You always have to read any verse in its proper context. And by that he doesn't just mean the surrounding verses, but the context of the Bible as a whole. I know most people haven't read the entire Bible, and this book does a good job of (fairly briefly) laying out the context of the difficult passages in that context.

Howard Honeybunn: This book makes sense of some of the verses that I either didn’t understand or were misinterpreted by well meaning brothers and sisters. Now I know “never read a Bible verse (on its own)” and can view scripture in a whole new way that helps me to conclude that it is a unified “library” that leads to Jesus. Thanks Dan.

John Birchenall: Really enjoying this book! Only a few chapters in but it gives such great context to the Bible. First time I’ve picked up a book and immediately wanted to start taking notes, highlighting, bookmarking…I can’t get enough of it. I’ll definitely be reading it a few times.

matt: Dan has done a good job balancing both the “story of God” while covering the hard to explain scriptures. This book is a must read for anyone looking at no only answering hard questions from friends, but for people who really want to study and analyse the text.

David Drew Detamore: This is a well written book that addresses some of the difficult questions we have about the Bible. While not a complete work on apologetics, it’s a great addition to anyone’s library that wants a better understanding of who God is and His word.
