Mari: I have been going through a lot in my life; my relationship, work, my business, family matters, all while trying to grow into a better me. I got so tied up in how to mail out my life that I failed to even think of how God wanted my life to go. This book allowed me to be completely open to the fact of God controlling my life and allowing Him to do so. I’m a big note taker. I took notes and journaled with every chapter of this book. I’m still going through my tough times but I have a different outlook on life. Sometimes you have to be broken and shattered to be made new. I know that this won’t be the only tough time of my life but with newfound perspective I can honestly say I welcome the challenge. This book along w years of therapy and recent journaling has allowed me to reach a new understanding of life in this garden. It won’t be perfect. It won’t be easy. I will hurt, pain, and cry but as long as I trust God and His will and purpose for my life, He will always turn my bad around for my good. Life in this garden was never supposed to be easy. L.: This author has been through a few thing in life and shares in an open honest and encouraging way. If you are struggling with hard or dark times, this book is worth the investment and so is her devotional book “Seeing Beautiful Again.”
Catch a couple teaching On YouTube if you are still not sure. I am working through several of her books and am finding them to be very helpful and sometimes painfully helpful!

Mykhailo Potrebko: I liked Lysa’s book : good boundaries and goodbyes. So I have bought this one . But this book I was not able to finish. As one commentator said: I felt like the author was filling up space in the book. And when the author, who is Christian, said that the first fear which she decided to conquer, was a fear of two-piece bathing suit, it was done for me. Her husband cheat on her and first fear she wants to deal is fear of two-piece bathing suit? Why is it so important at this hard time to overcome fear of how she look in two-piece bathing suit? The author gave explanation:
“It had absolutely nothing to do with theology or biology or anatomy. It had everything to do with doing something in the physical that would give me eyes to see what was happening in the spiritual.”
It looked for me like she really “tricked” herself to do what she prohibited herself to do before. Because if we approve this explanation then we can use it to justify absolutely every doubtful behaviour.

Gracealways: This is an excellent book!! Using it with a ladies study in my church. The first 2 orders the books were great but with the 3rd order I received the same knock off copies another reviewer described and showed photo of. As I had the original copy it was very obvious these copies were knock off copies. The books were 1/3 thinner, visibly cheaper paper with less clear print. The cover has a misprinted word and the title letters are uneven. The cover itself is less sharp and blurred. Overall the knock off looks like a very cheap copy but sold on Amazon as the original. I was very disappointed and will be extremely cautious with further Amazon book purchases. I have returned them but there was no explanation. I can't imagine it is legal to do this or fair to the author!

Ovalyn Avion McDonald: Highly encouraging and helpful. Lysa's openness was so easy to relate with and spoke directly to my heart and circumstances in some instances. She captured exactly how I was feeling at point in the book. I am very grateful that she allow God to use her to write this and was unashamed to Express the raw emotions, turmoil, uncertainty and insecurities we go through and feel as Christian women sometimes. I love that she removed the mask and was very transparent. I highly recommend this book and will definitely read it again.
