Amanda: The price for the amount and that it's non-gmo is amazing!

The complaints of product being somewhat uncomfortably close to the expiration date are accurate. I received my packages (16oz each) March 10, 2022 and they are marked for expiration July 9, 2022. It's just yeast and personally being stored long-term in freezer, but this small window can negatively impact the yeast's storage durability.

Gadget Geek: During the COVID pandemic, while many sellers exorbitantly raised prices on yeast - many selling a 4 oz. jar for 16 bucks - Hoosier Hill Farm was selling this 16 oz. bag for 13 bucks.
If you do a lot of baking, this is definitely recommended. Even for those like me who make a bread/cake once every month and 2-3 pizzas a week, this is worth it considering the price of other yeasts.
Even when the COVID thing is over and the other sellers reduce their prices on yeast, I'd still recommend this one. I've had no problems with this yeast and have gotten good results.

Rob T: Getting yeast has been a challenge lately, so I bought this yeast instead of my usual well known brand just to give it a try.

I've baked a number of bread and pizza recipes since (mostly low carb recipes, but a few full carb recipes too). This yeast has worked just as well in those recipes as my usual brand. The same great taste and the same rising results, so I didn't have to adjust my recipes at all. The only difference I noticed was I spent less money to get the same result.

I'm not a great fan of the idea of using a zipper type of bag for storing yeast, but in practice it seems to work just fine.

I will certainly buy this again when I need some more, but a pound of yeast is enough to keep me baking for quite a while first.

RichardRichard: I am not sure about price per pound compared to other brands (especially since the lockdown has messed with prices these days). However, it was still way cheaper than buying the little packets (even if you could find them). It also gives me an ample amount to share with family and friends. The expiration says 4/2022 and I am storing it in a container, in the freezer, and with a food grade silica packet. I used a tablespoon today (still cold) to make a batch of milk bread, since I was inspired by the previous commenter. I added pictures. Please ignore my sloppy baking skills. I've only been baking without box mixes for the past 6 months and this is honestly my first load bread. I usually do cinnamon rolls, lots of pizza dough, and bread sticks.
