deanskl: We bought this in late March/22, and installed it in early April. Now, in August/23 (16 months later), it is still working flawlessly on the original set of batteries. The 3 D cells give it long life. We use it to light our driveway in front of the house and the walkway to the front door when we come home late. I will now install the 2nd set of batteries. We do live in a dry climate (Sant Barbara Ca), so that may contribute to its longevity. Easy installation, and battery replacement. Seldom do I buy a product that works as well.

Emyl Laerton: So far no major complaints. The position adjustability of the two lamps is good. Lamps are bright. Motion sensor senses motion. Though it's slightly annoying that you have to remove 4 screws to install / replace the batteries. I suppose if you live in a tough neighborhood where packs of juiced-up, battery-addicted street gangs lawlessly roam looking for D-cells to get their fix, the screws might prove enough of a deterrent that they'll move along to your jerk neighbor's place and steal his batteries instead, then you can laugh in his jerk face later. A larger concern is that the ambient light sensor which is supposed to keep it from turning on in daylight seems to be a little confused. My unit is mounted in the garage, and unit will come on randomly and seemingly not consistently at a given ambient light level. But that might be due to the unit being more intended for true outdoor sun / dark use where the lighting difference is more stark. And it's not really an issue, other than maybe running the batteries down a tiny bit sooner. More just a passing curiosity as you sometimes notice it's turned on and wonder why. Better its on too much than not on when you really need it, right?

NOLAgame: I had one on the back porch, but it just never quite seemed like it was truly bright. The light seemed to diffuse into the night air, if that makes sense. I replaced with a Mr. Beams 200Lm spotlight that lights up my back porch very brightly.

I did however find an excellent use for these floodlights. I put one up on each of the 3 inside walls of my 2 car garage. I frequently go out there for things. Rather than continually turn on and off the flourescent lights out there and shortening their life (who likes trying dispose of flourescent bulbs?).

One comes on as soon as I open the door from the house into garage, and stepping out lights up these floods on the other two walls (sensors are pretty good from multiple angles). All three together provides a decent amount of life to get what I need, or to put something back, or to go out with the car in the dark. They also come on when returning car to the garage in the dark, providing light and security until big garage door is closed. None of them cancel each other out (which really says alot about how bright they aren't) so I always have the benefit of all three out there.
