Gloria: Once you connect it it’s on. Temperature is only at one level. It easy to clean with a damp cloth and dish washing liquid after it cools off. The heat distribution is great. Makes a great Cuban sandwich!

This one works great and heats up pretty quickly. The sandwich tastes as if someone else had made it for you lol I love it and definitely recommend it.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: If you think it heats up too quickly just unplug it and let the sandwich sit in there. For the lady that has the college student and gave a one star because he kept burning things. Is he at school on an athletic scholarship? Just time it on Alexa or in your head and turn it off then. Not running to taco bell in the middle of the night is well worth it.
