You can do it with one person but it’s easier with two. My son helped and were were done in an hour or less. Sorry didn’t keep time.

A six inch mattress fits just fine on the beds. I purchased to replace a stackable bed I bought in 2019 from Amazon in 2019 for my littles. They are now 7 and 5. For the price they are great. One of the slacks is detached from the frame but won’t hinder the bed to much. All and all I’m glad I made this purchase and would do so again.

E. DeGroot: I bought this bed for an extra bedroom for the grandkids when they visit. It was fairly easy to put together. Although when I first put it together it was very wobbly, then I read another comment on here that said to turn the frame upside down other than what I had it so that the lip of the bed frame was facing downward and the top of the bed frame was flat across with no lip. That was what made it not wobble anymore. Now it's very sturdy. Super cute. And it's exactly what I was looking for. And the price wasn't bad less than $100.

Adriana Hunter: Don't do what I did. I was redoing a bedroom and didn't open the box until three months after I bought it. I did buy this under the "used, like new" heading, but was still surprised to discover none of the hardware was there.

I contacted the company. The customer service department was excellent and I received the hardware in about a week. The bed is so easy to put together that my 8 year-old grandson assembled it all I did was hold some parts. Speaking of parts, after the bed was mostly together I realized we were missing two parts. I winced as I contacted the company again. Got the part in about a week.

So. Some people have whined about the quality. The bed frame is cheap. Don't expect something from an Amish store. It's really cheap. I think it's a great price for something that's decent quality. It's sturdy enough that you can tie someone to the headboard and footboard. I've been trying to think of ways to lure my husband into the bed for experimentation, but he has eluded me thus far.

MolliebeeMolliebee: I was concerned with the reviews, but this bed has surprised me. I bought this for my daughter as a replacement to a bed that should have been replaced a while ago. While the box came beaten to crap, the contents were all there and in relatively good condition. No dents or anything like that, but there was a little discoloration and residue on the metal that we wiped off. There was also some slight chipping of the varnish around the bottoms of the post, but no damage great enough to warrant return. Assembly was very easy and completed by myself, 34F, and daughter,13, in about an hour. The bed seems sturdy enough, but we did just get it yesterday. It looks pretty good for the price. I really have no complaints and if I needed another twin bed, I would buy this again.

tennismanpro: I purchased this bed frame to upgrade from a toddler to a twin bed. I liked the fact that it involved some wood such as the main 4 legs( Mahogany). However the welding spots were not aerospace grade but no sharp edges, and the paint scratches very easily. The main challenge though was that the matress didn't sink in the frame and kept moving horizontally even with the slightest pressure. After reading some reviews myself I came with the idea to undo the assembly almost halfway and turn the "bed sheets" upside down so the matress sinks in and hence doesn't move side to side, with only one catch, I had to cut the 4 support legs and make them shorter(remove the plastic plugs before cutting). Luckily all the other pieces were ambidextrous including the "side support legs".
Bottom line if you are not bothered by a little bending and mending.It's a good buy.
The best part was that my toddler got involved in the process.
