It gets the job done! It zaps the mosquitoes, which is the reason why I purchased it. It also catches flies. The zapping noise is a bit alarming and caught me off guard at first, but definitely would recommend.

Zaps so many bugs (heavy moth season, this year) that I have to clean it out every three or four days! (Initially. Now, though, down to about once every 2 or 3 weeks)
Inconvenient to clean with the brush supplied; simply due to the constricted nature of the spacing's of the internals; somewhat unavoidable in a unit this small. Compressed air, however, works very well.
(Was) recommended; as a cost effective solution for smaller applications.
However... after 4 months of (indoor) usage - ON, 24/7 - no more UV/bulb; apparently, burned out. And, of course, no more attraction to bugs.
No idea if this is anomalous, but... I now have a non-working bug zapper.
Addendum/Update: I am VERY pleased to report that not only did the vendor respond quickly & politely to my request for the (free) rlpcmnt lamp... they also promptly shipped me said (free) replacement lamp!
Kudos to them, for that! I re-upped my rating to 5, from the downgrade to 2, when the lamp had expired.
Pretty smart marketing strategy, when you think on it. By shipping only 1 lamp (IN the unit), and offering a free rlpcmnt within a year, if premature burnout, they...
