Assembly was fairly easy after downloading the Assembly and Operators Manuals. The Paperwork included in the box was printed in small type on very cheap paper..(almost) impossible to decipher without a magnifying glass.
Once assembled, the oil added and the tank filled with gas, the mower started right up. We then took it for a trial run of about an hour and the mower performed flawlessly. Looks to be a keeper.

This is an excellent mower that is relatively easy to assemble. I am a 47-year-old female who is not a mechanical expert by any means, but I know how to read and follow directions. With this mower, that piece is critical, as there is an important step that needs to be followed that isn't necessarily intuitive. You have to remove the bolts at the base of the mower and pull the handle out (and reassemble as directed) or you can destroy the engine the first time you attempt to start it up. The directions warn you that you must do this, but...a lot of people aren't very good about reading/following directions - especially if they have experience in assembling this type of machinery. FOLLOW the directions and you will be fine! I suspect the reviewers that claim the mower died on the first run failed to perform this step. Tsk, tsk, tsk...not the mower's issue.
It comes with enough oil for one fill (make sure you use SAE 10w-30 when refilling - not the Amazon recommendation). I didn't have the leakage/packaging issues other reviewers mentioned. Put the provided oil in, do a dipstick check, fill with fresh gas, and you are good to go!

This mower was the best investment The cutting was nice and clean looking, the maneuvering was easy, and light weight to handle made for a quick pass! When the package arrived, I was quite pleased that it didn't weigh a ton.
There were a few issues I had with how the shape of the box was in when it was finally delivered. You could tell it was roughed up from not being handled with care. There was the original tape that it was sent out with that was pulled at certain places and the top wasn t even closed. But the postal service had used shipping tape 7 times amongst the top to hold it shut. Which was a bit worrisome thinking that something could have fallen out in transit. Then when the carrier arrived, they carried it over to the designated spot asked to place it and just tossed it down as if it wasn't there problem anymore. I was mildly irritated, but after was definitely pleased when they left finally! And by no means was the manufacturer responsible for the shape it was in when it finally arrived.
