Rosebud: HiCoup Premium Wing Corkscrew is beautifully designed and arrives in a nice gift box with a bottle stopper included. However, I have small hands and I found it to be a challenge to handle because of the size and weight of it. Because of this, the corkscrew went into the cork crooked and my bottle of wine almost landed on the floor! This is a good buy for someone stronger than me and with larger hands. I’m returning it because it’s heavy duty and I will fare better with something more petite. It seems stylish and very well made.

Noemi W.: We used this and loved it. However, after two years, the metal actually snapped in half while we were opening a bottle. We are not heavy drinkers, and with screw caps, we haven’t had many opportunities to use this - so we were surprised at how quickly it broke down. Especially that it was the corkscrew part, made of metal, that just broke with a light touch.

Oneotaljz: This winged-style, wine bottle opener is structurally similar to other corkscrews, but appears to be far better made both in quality of materials, heft, and look. So far we've only opened one bottle with it since getting it 3 days ago, so who knows if it will last? No issues at all, and I don't see any in the near future if it is used with reasonable care. The black on chrome look is attractive, and as others have commented, the box it came in is attractive either for gift-giving, storage or for other non-wine uses. The price was competitive, and a small, inserted note in the box informs you that they are very willing to help if you have problems. The included device to replace the cork is cleverly made, easy to use, and just a nice touch. One does have to chuckle at the name of the product line, HiCoup, but it did draw my attention to the product among the many corkscrews available through Amazon. Had I been clever and with enough time, I perhaps could have done the review as a haiku. And yes, you can also open beer bottles with it.

Getitright: Appears well made but suffers two problems. One, the screw is really too thick and has a tendency to refuse to enter the cork and then split the cork. Two, the screw is too short for corks in wines of a better quality, leaving some cork behind. Would not buy again. Note: really difficult to get a decent wire design corkscrew....................

Srdjan Mitrovic: Before this one, we got two corkscrew openers that - sounds incredibly - got their screws loose (no pun intended) and falling out after just a few months of use, maybe not even that much. I'm not sure if this one has its screw welded (I hope it does!) so as not to fall out; it seems like it does, but we will see after some time.

I only don't like that the handles are too loose - it gives the impression of entire thing being flimsy and that handles' teeth could separate.
