JP: With the push of a button the brush is exposed for grooming the dog. The metal combs are fine and gentle enough for my dogs face whiskers and ears, yet strong enough for the rest of her body. After brushing she looks as if she came from the groomer, plus she shakes to fluff herself too. After use pushing the button makes removing the fur simple too. It worked so well I gifted one to my neighbor and they love it too!

Gabby: I have a cat who hates being brushed, but who is prone to matts. As he has gotten older, he has stopped grooming the lower half of his body as effectively. This brush is great for pulling through “sticky” and dense fur areas that eventually matt. However, I would not recommend it for already matted fur. He still hates being brushed, but is a little less resistant to this brush. I think if the head of the brush was about half the size, he would be less hostile towards it. I also like the retractable prongs that make it easy to clean.

glAmazon Gal: As probably assumed from my title, I’ve got a poodle. I adopted her from my local animal shelter (also known as The Pound). She has what I call “rats nests” in her fur from Lord only knows why. However, we do live in the desert where it is dry and there are stickers of many different kinds to catch in her coat, so if she isn’t brushed daily the nests will happen quickly.
I tried this brush and I really like that it retracts making it super easy to clean. It just doesn’t work on my girls fur. In fact, 2 of the bristles bent and I hadn’t even brushed my dog that much. I’ll be returning this and buying combs specifically made for grooming poodles.
Maybe after all her knots were worked out this brush would be a good choice, but I’m not waiting that long and I need a brush now. The small section I was able to get the brush through looked nice and soft, but I can’t imagine putting Chloe through so much drama and pain by using something that isn’t made for her, because it will take a lot of time, patience, and brushing to get her coat where it should be.
I do recommend this brush if your pet doesn’t have mats!

Damon A. Bradshaw: If you're looking for a grooming brush that works, look no further than the Hertzko Dog & Cat Brush! As a pet owner, I know how frustrating it can be to remove tangles and mats from your furry friend's coat. But this brush makes it a breeze. Its self-cleaning slicker design picks up loose hair effortlessly, while the rake and comb features help to distribute the bristles evenly and prevent matting. And the best part? It's gentle enough for sensitive skin, so you don't have to worry about irritating your pet during grooming sessions. I highly recommend trying this brush – your pets will thank you.

José Lledó Prieto: A mi gato le encanta, me pide a diario que le cepille el pelo, y a mi también. Me resulta muy cómodo tanto de usar como de limpiar. Buena relación calidad - precio.

Izzy: I absolutely love this. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I originally bought it for my Maine Coone cat (who is a very large cat), however the brush itself was too large, with the brush parts being too wide apart, I've opted to use it for my dog instead.
It says in the title that it can be used for small animals, however I do not recommend it for smaller animals, and you should buy it for large/ medium ones instead. If you have a cat with thicker hair rather than fine, you may find it of use, but I still recommend you find a brush that is not as wide, and is a bit smaller.

Sierra: One of the best pet brushes I’ve ever purchased. Used it on 3 of our cats so far. 2 of the cats I used it on really dislike being brushed but were less fearful of this brush than any other that i’ve used on them previously. The 3rd cat has always enjoyed being brushed but went absolutely crazy for this brush in particular. She kept coming back for more! She’s always been great at maintaining her own coat & i never get much hair off of her when i do brush her but I got so much hair off of her with this brush that I emptied the brush 3 times to discard her hair. All 3 cats have short hair with varying textures & thickness. It glides through their hair with ease and leaves them with a beautiful shine. The only thing I would warn people of is that the brush is somewhat sharp so you’ll want to be careful not to dig into your pets as you brush them and also avoid any areas that may have scabs or anything that the brush would snag on.
