Lisa: First, pinch collars are not torture devices; they are training aids. We have all seen the pictures of dogs with injuries from prong collars. In those cases, the collars have all been improperly used and those poor dogs severely abused.
FIT them properly, USE them properly, and after a bit, you won’t need to use them at all. They are not to remain on the dog as a substitute for a regular collar. Herm Sprenger is top quality and worth the investment. They have been a game changer in being able to handle my large breed dogs. Please ask a dog training professional for guidance before using. (If they don’t say what I’ve said here, don’t hire them.)

Mac: Quick release means no more hurting hands to take it on or off. I can fit it to the dogs neck perfectly and not need extra room for my hands to pull apart prongs. Herm Sprenger means quality in the dog world.

Amazon Customer: This collar appeared to be expensive and I was hesitant to purchase. It has literally made walking my dog go from a chore to a treat. My dog would practically rip my shoulder out of place on our walks. She is a completely different dog when we use this collar. We only use it for walks, never for a long time. We introduced to collar with treats and ever since she doesn’t get upset when we put it on her. She listens very well and hardly pulls. We have had a few instances when she’s forgotten she has the collar on and pulled at another dog, but this is a training tool. It was made well with the exception that one of the guards on the clips comes off. Easy to take on and off and offers a locking feature.
