Brandon: They are seeds. Some of them germinated and sprouted a lot easier than others. My only knock, was that some of the packs contained a good amount of seeds while some only had a few. I bought these for the novelty and fact that all you needed for fresh salsa was in the offering, but moving forward I'll just go the normal route of hitting up my local garden spot.

Blade: I've been waiting until my outside harvest was done to write a review. So far I've grown habanero, tomato, and cilantro near continuously for several months.
1) I grew Habanero inside hydroponically and outside in soil at the same time. excellent flavor and excellent heat.
2) I only grew the Tomatoes Inside hydroponically. Very happy overall with excellent flavor.
3) I grew the cilantro inside hydroponically as well. Most commercial cilantro appears to be hydroponically grown. But I will tell you that mine had much better flavor than that in the local grocery store. I actually attribute most of this to freshness as opposed to the difference in the growing method.
If you're wondering about growing larger plants like the tomatoes and jalapenos indoors hydroponically, it definitely can be done and I can vouch for it, having personally done it. You will absolutely need to prune the plants to limit the height and width of the plant to reasonable limits, and this is the hardest part. I have a grow space that is approximately 2 ft tall and about the same in width for each plant. no issues other than needing the aggressive pruning.
