Michael Blitz: Nice LOOKING product when you first open it. The wooden box is attractive (hard to slide open, tho). The contents are a little underwhelming, and the sad reality is that the seeds are probably very (very) old. Ours never germinated--at all. (We know how to grow things).

Latisha R.: I got this as a gift for Christmas and was a little skeptical because a lot of the "kits" you see aren't much of anything and aren't designed for success. They are designed to make money and nobody returns them because inexperienced gardeners assume it was user error. But this one seems to be a lot better!
Pros:
- The grow pots, which are actually cute little burlap pots with a lining that I really like, are much bigger than most kits and have a drainage hole. You definitely couldn't keep a cucumber plant in one for more than a few weeks, but it's a great size to start them before transferring. It's also not big enough to grow radishes and they don't transfer well, but you probably could grow lettuce/spinach in it for the full life cycle. Overall, bigger and nicer than any other kit I have seen.
- The seeds are really cool varieties and being heirloom, you could save seeds at the end which is important to me. Just make sure they don't cross-pollinate.
- The little snips, I love them! I've never had a pair but always thought they would be so useful. Most scissors crush when you use them on plants, then cut. These are sharp and are designed to just cut without...
