Know all those leggings that claim to fit at the waist and won’t slip no matter what your activity is? And then you quickly learn they don’t stay up? Well, I snipped a 1/4” vertical opening on the inside waist facing only, threaded a drawstring around the waist to exit from the same opening I started from (knits don’t unravel), and added this toggle. Problem solved (on a dozen leggings)!

I used these along with some bungee cord, to replace the my shoe laces for easy on/off. over 2 months later they are still holding up strong, very impressed considering the price!

These seem to be well made but do not work for the drawstring on a pair of Russell Athletic shorts I bought. The cord is about 1/8", very soft, slick and flexible & I think the spring in the lock is strong enough but the clamping surface is much too smooth... I'm an engineer and you can take that for what it's worth. This is the 3rd attempt I've made at purchasing a drawstring cord lock; the first two were a complete joke - this one is better but still doesn't hold. I gave these 3 stars for the construction and the fact that a person built to the "ideal" human being would probably have good luck with these. I'm not shaped like that and the fact is, the lock will not stay locked when pressure is applied.

Excellent little cord locks. I used these to convert double-pull strings on a fabric eyeglasses sleeve to a single-pull with positive closure by the cord lock.
Nicely made, with good finish and consistency. Mechanism is easy to operate and seems durable for long life.
I would definitely buy again if needed.
