If you're looking for a reliable heavy-duty digital torque wrench that meets ISO 6789 standards and comes with a certificate of calibration, the ACDelco ARM303-4A-340 1/2” (12.5 to 250.7 ft-lbs.) is the perfect choice. With its easy-to-read display, intuitive user interface, and robust build quality, you can rest assured that you're getting the best torque wrench available. And, with its buzzer and LED flash notification, you'll always know when you've reached the desired torque. Visit the ACDelco Tools Store today to get your torque wrench and experience the peace of mind that comes with ACDelco Tools. <insert vaguely entertaining name here><insert vaguely entertaining name here>: Accuracy on mine seems spot on, even at the lowest values, but I'd still verify things before using it on anything sensitive at low torque. The lowest calibration point is at 68N.m (~50ft-lbs), and they only guarantee accuracy in the 20-100% range. You'd be taking a very expensive gamble using these on spark plugs, for example.
The auto shut-off time for these seems to be 3 minutes, which is better than the 2 minutes on many of the competing products, but I don't think the angle gyro is used to keep it on (if you're holding it, vs it being on the ground), which is a shame.
The main problem I had was with the battery compartment. An assembly screw was too long and it was indirectly squeezing the battery tube. One of the AA batteries kept getting stuck in the wrench and refused to come out. The moment I started to loosen the screw (the one holding the knurled red grip in place) the battery immediately came free. I'll probably just grind down the screw or something so it's shorter, but it's definitely a pain.

David: Checked the reviews before purchase, which were fairly good.
The first few times I used it it worked great, however, after not using it for a few months, with the batteries removed, it would cut off in the middle of torquing a bolt, which resulted in severely overtightening critical fasteners. This resulted in damage to expensive ARP fasteners, and could have damaged a very expensive engine block, or resulted in catastrophic engine failure had I not caught the problem.
Now it cuts off with the slightest bump, even installing a socket will kill it.
It's out of warranty, so I removed the display section twice and checked for loose wires or cold solder joints.
I can't find a reason for the problem, nor can I isolate it to the board or the rest of the tool.
I'm EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED with this thing. I really liked it while it worked, but an unreliable tool is worse than no tool at all.

Andrea Redmond: Easy to use, easy to set, easy to hear. Overall it is great.
If I had one complaint, it is that the auto-shutoff is a bit aggressive. A couple times I set it, hand tightened a bolt, and it shut off before it registeres that I was using it.

mcr: I bought this expensive torque wrench based on some reviews and its description , found a lot of issues . the display didn't work all the time . i ended up stretching and breaking a bolt because the display suddenly stopped working while using it .

Mystery_Shopper: Purchased mainly for the degree feature on this torque wrench as the wrench isn't really used for much else in my own opinion because just due to the precision of this torque wrench i wouldn't advise using it on torquing wheels. This torque wrench is mainly for torquing cylinder heads or crankshaft bearings or other torque applications that involve critical torque. Many i work with say "why not buy a Snap-on Tech Angle". The reason is because they are just too expensive so this is the next best option. I already own the 3/8 Digital Torque Wrench from ACdelco and have had nothing but success with it as i personally love it but trying to torque cylinder head bolts with a 3/8'' torque wrench is difficult so i had to purchase a 1/2'' version. Couple features about the torque wrench as it does N-m, Kg-cm, In-lb., Ft-lb, Angle Degree. The buttons are very easily to switch between different modes and the most feature used is the angle mode as it is EXTREMELY HELPFUL. It's just so simple as you press A-F-K button until it shows the degree in the corner then you toggle up or down to set the degrees. Now i seen many reviews that when you reach a degree it doesn't stop and reset, you have 0...

Nigel C: Best bang for buck when it comes to Torque Angle Wrenches. Lights, vibration, and beep feedback. Great value for what you get.

Desert Fisherman: most moder cars are using torque to yield fasteners that require them to be torqued to a certain setting and then torqued to a specific angle after that. this torque trench allows you to do it with one tool without having to use any additional tools or angle gages. I have used it on a few projects now and i love it. I am planning on buying the 3/8s and 1/4 versions. I like it that much.
