Katie B.: The product is well made, easy to clean and easy to operate. We bought the white ceramic one, and it's not ugly either. The water noise is a nice background noise - soft and gentle sounding.

So, the product is good.

We have three cats, however, and none of them love it. I bought it for one cat in particular who likes to drink from the faucet. She's not interested in this recycled water. So, it's a good product but I wouldn't buy it again because no one seems to use it.

AG: My cat used to spill the water I had in bowls for her. She wanted the water to move before she drank it, as cats originated from Africa, where stagnant water carried diseases so they have evolved the instinct to drink water that is flowing. They like water that moves not water that is still. Getting this fountain solved my cats dehydration and spilling water in bowls problem. I highly recommend this for every cat owner.

Marie Levesque: Mon Rex adore sa fontaine ! Il l'a tout de suite adopté ! Il va y boire souvent! Le moteur est très silencieux ! C'est comme avoir un petit ruisseau ds sa maison, c'est très zen et reposant ! Je la démonte et la nettoie tous les 3 jours ! Elle n'en a pas nécessairement besoin mais cette routine me convient! Vraiment cette fontaine est merveilleuse! Je la recommande !

Karine Paquin: Excellente fontaine si le bruit de l'eau qui coule ne vous dérange pas, car on l'entend constamment. C'était dérangeant en télétravail et pour dormir la nuit, donc nous l'avons retourner pour un modèle silencieux.

The original has a much more reliable & steady stream. This one, the cute porcelain one starts out great then becomes a dribble after only a couple months. We replaced filters, motors etc. & the same pattern again & again. Perhaps the way the tube is set up that the motor pushes the water up & through has extra backpressure or somethi, but it just does not flow strong enough after awhile & just dribbles down the side of the porcelain instead of fountaining over & out, away from the edge. This is a particular problem for our household as we have finicky kitties who won't drink if it's not an actual stream coming down, not touching any surface (meaning it's not enough to just slide down the side of the porcelain, it has to be an actual fountain stream of water.

It's too bad because the porcelain is much cuter.

Thomas J. Bjornsen: *** I am going to amend this review, only to offer more cleaning tips (that may have already been detailed in these reviews, but I did not see them...) So here goes;
We are religious about taking this apart and cleaning the plastic parts and the ceramic parts, and putting in all fresh water every three or four days. Always thoroughly rinsing the pump under very hot water to try and clean that out as well. Then one day I come home and the pump is not running, and Sweetie says she cleaned it and it would not turn on.
So I take it back apart, and take the side off of the pump and give it a rinse and look see, and while poking at it with a tiny knife I realize that there is yet another piece of plastic that can be removed (the sort of kidney-shaped piece that covers the hole where the water goes in and out) and I pop that off.
More gunk inside that! OK, Easy enough. Give that a good rinse, and washing with hot water and a Q-Tip and figure I am good to go.
Plug it in and it starts to run about every third or fourth try, with a little poke at the little white propeller.
Then, one of the pokes at the propeller causes it to pop up a little, and I realize that it seems to be...

Sahel: I love it. The water stays clean and it is easy to clean.

I love my cat and i care so much about his health. I was using another type of water fountain before which was made of plastic, i had to clean it more often and it was getting dirty faster, and the pump was the worse of all, very dirty and not easy to clean at all. So it was not healthy at all. At one point I got very scared about my cat's health and decided to just switch to a regular bowl.

So, I took my time and did search about what to get and finally I bought this one. The good thing about this one is that it's white so its easy to see the cleaness of the water, also when I cleaned it , I was surprised that how clean everythig were including the pump. And my cat loves it very much.

I definitely recommend this to everyone.
