This is the first cookbook that I can imagine myself actually trying every recipe! I was looking for new healthy recipes that I could make quickly and found this book.
The first recipe we tried was Ranch-Blend Pork with Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts, page 27, which claimed to have a prep time of 10 minutes and a cook time of 30 minutes, and it was very good. Tonight I made Honey-Lime Shrimp with Wheat Bulgur and Asparagus, page 38. The prep for this dish stated 15 minutes and a prep time of 30 minutes. We really liked this recipe as well.
I am not a fast cook, and both of these dishes were ready in under an hour. Both recipes were complete meals--veggies and a protein baked together on a sheet pan. While the title says "Family Cookbook" with recipes made to serve 6, I have found that the recipes are easy to split in half for dinner for two.

ChaseChase: So much thought went in to writing this cookbook from the introduction and tips, to short descriptions about each meal. I also appreciate how the book is divided in to which “ease” you are looking for whether it’s one pan, a slow cooker, less ingredients or time. I flagged nearly every recipe in this book. I highly recommend.

Amazon Customer: Got this as a gift and annoyed now because I don't have time to get something else. This book literally has 4 pictures in it. My great grandma is the only person I know who would enjoy a cookbook without pictures. I mean how are you supposed to pick something out? By imagining what it would look like? Honestly, cookbooks without pictures should not be allowed to be made imo. Such a waste of money - I hope my sister-in-law gets some use out of this (although I doubt it).

Kelly Schurz: I normally can’t be bothered to write reviews but I really wanted to for this cookbook - I’ve made around 5 or 6 of the recipes so far and they are awesome. Seriously flavorful and delicious and the meals are genuinely filling. I don’t like a ton of fuss but I also enjoy the act of cooking so really, it’s just the right amount of fuss. I will be remaking every recipe I’ve made so far! The author deserves props for these recipes!!
