HAWKRAY Wireless Outdoor Surveillance Camera for Home Security

Wheeler: I needed to replace several brand "A" cameras as they were getting old and needed to be reset frequently. I considered replacing them with newer brand "A' but their formerly good customer service is now horrible.
I purchased one of these Hawkray cameras to try out for a month. It worked well enough that after the trial, I bought 6 more.
The good:
No hub needed, they connect directly to WiFi.
Picture is incredibly clear.
2-way voice communication.
Long battery life, although I added small solar panels, so battery life isn't an issue.
Choice of star light or spot light night vision.
Easy to program and install.
The included mounting brackets are versatile and easy.
Adding a memory card provides at least 6 months of recording.
The Not So Good:
Motion detection is very sensitive and no way to adjust resulting in some false notifications.
Cannot turn on and off remotely. I have to physically push the button on the camera. If I'm traveling and forget to turn a camera on...
All in all, these cameras are very good and one third the price of brand "A"

Tim from Virginia: I purchased this camera pretty much as a trial to see if the other reviews were accurate and if I should buy a couple more. Also, if this was the direction I wanted to go for security around my home. The other reviews were pretty much spot on. This is a pretty nice camera for the price. It's enough of a value that I've ordered a couple more for more comprehensive coverage.

Here are the Pros and Cons:

Pros:
- Appears to be very well built for outdoor applications.
- Good picture quality. Even far away things zoomed in on are clear.
- Wide coverage area.
- Easy to setup.
- The app is easy to use. Supports multiple cameras.
-Good battery life.
- AI is decent and pretty cool.
- Good night vision
- On camera video storage if you add a card.

Cons:
- AI detection is not available unless you buy the cloud service. So you can't use it if you are using on-camera storage. This is the biggest downer as far as I'm concerned.
- The swivel mount is not easy to use to point the camera where you want it as there's a slot in it that has to in a particular position to aim the camera and it doesn't want to stay when tightening it down.

Mike: Good little camera. The build seems like good quality, so far the camera has performed well. The battery seems to last fairly long. I charged it up to 100 percent, mounted it and so far the battery is lasting impressively long considering the amount of time it has to kick on daily. This camera has been placed monitoring the driveway so it has to kick on quiet a bit. The picture quality is crystal clear in night and day. The night vision is impressely clear. Motion detection is responsive. The camera is easy setup. Just download the vico home app turn on the camera it will guide you through step by step getting the camera connected to your home wifi connection. The camera so far has never lost connection to wifi unless there is a break in wifi connection due to power flicker/loss. During the last power flicker the camera connected right back up on its own no problem. The camera so far has stood up to harsh cold, snowy rainy weather like it promised. It's winter time here in Virginia right now and so far we have had temps as cold as 14 degrees and camera was not effected. We've had ice, snow, wind and rain since camera has been installed.
