dlp: I was looking for a backpack for airplane carry on during extended trips. After extensive research I selected this Hap Tim backpack and am very happy. Key features: multiple storage pockets allowing me to organize various items for easy access when needed. The central pack is top loading with a zipper enclosure which I find more convenient to access while in flight versus a clam-shell (suitcase) type of opening. There are three interior sleeves of differing sizes to accommodate a laptop, iPad, or smaller electronics. The exterior material is a water-resistant, nylon type. The size fits easily under seat or in overhead storage. Nice color options. Works very nicely as a personal carry-on when you want the ability to organize many items yet not have too much bulk.

Tony: This is great value for money. The recent heavy rain proved how good the waterproofing is. Plenty of pockets inside and out. Comfortable when using both shoulder straps. Highly recommended.

Emily Flagstad: I purchased this backpack specifically for travel. I wanted a backpack large enough to fit my 17" laptop, that had a luggage strap so that I could put it on my wheeled carry-on suitcase, and that had plenty of pockets and storage to bring on a trip. This backpack served me very well on my most recent trip abroad! It was fantastic for lugging around airports and I really appreciated not having to bear the weight of a full backpack on my shoulders constantly - the luggage strap, along with the handles were perfect for keeping it firmly atop my suitcase. There really are no security features of this pack, however, which would be the only things I would have appreciated. With all of the outer pockets, I'm not sure this would make a great tourist backpack....maybe too easy to have items removed from? Otherwise a great purchase and well made.

BB: I travel internationally several times a year, so I definitely need a backpack that can withstand being shoved into small spaces and also stand up on the top of my suitcase. There are a lot of crazy expensive backpacks out there, but this one with its humble price tag is actually just as good or better than the fancy brands running upwards of $150. First off, the drink pockets on the sides are actually deep enough to keep your bottle in place! The flap pocket is the perfect place to keep stuff like lip balm and hand cream— stuff you want quick access to and aren’t valuable. The main compartment opens up nice and wide so you can easily see the bottom of the bag without having to feel around in a dark abyss for that stray pen or hair tie. I admit that the top zipper design is annoying… I hate the overhanging side of it, but I can see functionally why they made it that way. This is a great bag. Beautiful color, comfortable on the back, and all the space and pockets you need. By its materials and structure, I can tell it will last a few years!

Lisa M.: I recently used this for a 10-day trip to the UK (4 different train trips so lots of travelling). And I was so glad I got this bag, after doing lots of research here. First the "doctor's bag opening" is perfect. The bag doesn't flop like a normal bag would. I found I could stand the bag upright and easily find what I needed, even if it was deep inside. It does fit under seat, not comfortably as it's bigger than a normal backpack, but I'd say if you're travelling short durations it would do. Secondly, the belt in the back is sturdy to slide over my rolling luggage handle. And not being a fan of "too many pockets" I love the two pockets on the outside and inside each there are lots of options to use them. And I travelled with a large iPad which has a space inside as well. Highly rec.
