David Rathgeber: This is a well-built product. The base is metal and the bowl and top are plastic, but heavy plastic which should last. Processing only starts when the locking arm is in place which requires that the bowl and cover are properly installed. The handle on the bowl is solid and there are no special parts to prevent incorrect operation, like the handle and rods on the Cuisinart which are the first parts to break!
There was a learning period for my wife to get the locking arm in place as it has to be pushed up a plastic ramp, which is also made of heavy plastic and she has small hands. However, a few trials and now it goes easily. The handle, bowl and kid have to be correctly installed or the grinding will not start. The included parts seem to be all my wife needs. It makes lots of noise in operation, but grinding is grinding!

Mandeep Singh Bedi: I mostly use this for finely chopping or pureeing onions and tomatoes. It does a pretty decent job for that. Does the job in seconds. The shredding and slicing attachments didn't work to my expectations so I just don't use them.

Yvonne S.: This is my 1st food processor, so keep that in mind when you read this review....lol I absolutely love this processor. I've only made a couple of dishes, but it was so easy to use that I made those dishes multiple times! I have a high end blender, but some foods are hard to get out of the blender; this is very easy to get all of the food out and very easy to clean. So far my favorite dishes to make in it are hummus and avocado chocolate mousse!

Chilly Willy: Fácil de manejar en las velocidades y el armado. Seguro en la utilización. dificil un poco para lavar, pero con un buen chorro a presión se soluciona. Pica, hace rebanadas, mezcla todo muy bien; incluso para hacer masa. Es potente, con ruido moderado y nunca se detiene. Vale la Pena del 0 al 5 de doy un 4.8.

Bluebird: I bought this for the slicing and shredding blades with several thicknesses. I didn't understand the directions so when I used it for the first time, shredding for potato pancakes came out mush. My fault- forgot to use low power as directed, and probably did not have the blade adjusted correctly. Directions said to put the blade in the bowl and adjust the thickness. Didn't understand this. So I removed the blade and took a good look at it, inserted my two fingers in the holes and turned it. That was easy.
Been using this many times and am really quite pleased with the results. HAndle securely locks the processor. Only had to struggle a little to remove the lid when done. So I applied some olive oil around the rubber seal, and voila, easy removal. I just wish it would have come in 6 or 7 cup size, because of our family size. The quality is excellent - superior to my Cuisinart and I doubt if the plastic will ever chip or break.

Flying Lady 76: I used my HB Food Processor for the first time this morning. I love it.

I must have read reviews on different food processors for weeks and the one thing that killed the purchase on many of them was they were unsanitary because you couldn't clean in the nooks and crannies. That is a deal breaker for me.

This is dishwasher safe, but I prefer to wash and dry by hand. I made sweet potato bread in it this morning. The recipe is no yeast/no white flour. I have made this before, but not using a food processor. This made it so easy. Riced my sweet potatoes. I cut them into chunks, put them in the bowl and blended them first and then added the other ingredients.

All the attachments are very user friendly and a breeze to wash. No hidden places for food to lodge and hide and that is important. The storage container is really nice and keeps the blades safe and sound. I can store it on its side right next to the processor so it leaves a small footprint.

The only thing worth mentioning (and this is only if you are cooking for a large family) the machine is only 8 cup capacity. For me it isn't a problem, but if you are a bake-a-hollc,...

KGL1969: Very happy with this processor. There are so many nice features. The case that nicely holds the extra attachments is sturdy and functional snd small, and the fact that you can also turn the case on its side to store it or stand the processor on top of it to store is great and very clever. The safety bar serves as a handle for carrying it. The bowl scraper is awesome so you don't have to open the processor several times to scrape down the sides. Plus the entire machine itself is very sturdy. There is some heft to it and the parts don't seem like they're delicate and might snap off or break. Dishwasher safe too. The bowl size is a nice size too. 14 cup is too large and 6 cup is too small... IMO. This bowl holds a decent amount and is easy to clean.

ILoveGadgets: For an appliance to be valuable, it must be useful and worthwhile to use. It must make life easier and help you get things done. This food processor does a very good job at that. Just the right size. It had it's inaugural use today with slicing sweet potatoes and apples for a slow cooker side dish. Then used it for slicing mushrooms for another slow cooker side dish. The fact that you can set the slicing thickness is awesome. Worked well for different recipe needs. Then I used it to pulse up some crackers for topping one of those side dishes. No hiccups and good power. I really like the easy to use design. Provides what you need for all the different types of recipes and uses. So glad I purchased even when at the time of my purchase, it was a higher price than at the time of this review.

Side notes: I decided that any appliance that allows me to make good food fast at home will pay for itself as long I as I'm willing to use them. This is a very nice addition to the slow cookers, pressure cooker, and Ninja 4-in-1 that allows me to make home cooked meals every day and no longer rely on fast food or frozen meals.
