None of the appliances I had on hand were doing a good job pureeing so I ordered this and it's able to puree foods that I could not have previously and that gives me more variety. The attachments work very well and easily too. This is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time.

Julie Sawden: I wasn't sure based on the price, but was more then happy with this purchase. I grind up veggies to make my dog food and it was so fast and easy to use. It may only hold seven cups but it does is so quickly and efficiently is so much better. The smaller cup means no scraping down the sides and redoing. Does it all perfectly with one go. I also got the warranty so even happier. Would highly recommend, oh yes and washes it up so quickly. NO gunk goes down the handle.

whatnextk: The Hamilton Beach 70740 8-Cup Food Processor is a powerful and efficient kitchen appliance. It has a large feed chute that can handle whole fruits and vegetables with ease, and an 8-cup capacity bowl that's perfect for preparing meals for small to medium-sized families. The machine has two speed options and a pulse function, which makes it versatile enough to handle a wide range of food prep tasks. The blades are made from stainless steel and are dishwasher safe, which makes cleaning up a breeze. The compact design means it won't take up too much counter space, and the price point is affordable for those on a budget. Overall, it's a great value for the money.

Susan:
My old Braun food processor did a terrific job for 30 years and still works but the replacement bowl/container would cost triple the amount of a new food processor.
I decided to try this Hamilton Beach processor because a lot of the other brands offer more than I needed. All I wanted was a food processor that grated a fine grate, sliced a fine slice and chopped nuts. I have arthritis in my hands so I also wanted a unit that was easy to put together and take apart. Since we have downsized to a smaller home with less cupboard space…I also wanted a small appliance.
This little unit is not only very reasonably priced it checks all the boxes of what I was looking for.
It is amazingly powerful. There are only three notches in the power switch 1, 2 and pulse. For what I use it for…this is plenty. It comes with one chopping blade and one blade disk (flip it over for slice or grate). Again, simplicity is the charm of this unit.
I would recommend this product to anyone who does not require all the bells and whistles of the larger units and has limited storage space.
Hopefully, this little buddy will be in my kitchen for a long time. Thank you Hamilton...

STILL SPEECHLESS:
This HB food processor is POW-ER-FUL. It is QUICK! This is the second food processor I've ever owned. I purchased a Black & Decker about two years ago. It is clumpy, huge, and very hard to use--so--when I saw this one, I said to myself, "Self! This looks like the food processor you were trying to buy the first time." I was thinking, 'What am I going to do with TWO food processors?' Well, here's the answer: Use one and put the other one away. That's what I did and THIS ONE is the one I use EVERYDAY--several times a day. The B&D was used about three times in two years! To add insult to injury, I placed the B&D in the box this one came in and put it away.
What makes this processor quick and slick is 1) Powerful speed! I shredded eight (8) large carrots in less than five minutes with very, very little effort. I also used the slicer side and sliced two red onions--in nothing flat. 2) When using the 'pulse' feature, two to three pulses to chop carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, mix cake dough, etc--is all it takes. I haven't had to use the #2 setting yet because the 'pulse' and/or #1 setting performs the task so well.
Now, I'm not saying I'll...

Lené:
I can't believe this thing only cost $28. I've never owned a food processor in my life - I've always had this weird thing about having to chop everything by hand. And I cook a LOT. But I was finally thwarted by falafel - I had a grinder attachment for my KitchenAid that was just not cutting it, and my blender wasn't cutting it for the hummus I also love to make on the regular. Both made these simple foods take too long to prepare and make a huge mess. So I decided to initiate the Food Processor Experiment. This thing had great reviews so I thought it would probably be a good test subject.
I had a batch of soaked chickpeas on deck and ready to go when this thing arrived in the mail (oh I love Prime.. as close as you can get to instant gratification). The first thing I threw in there was a big bunch of cilantro and parsley. Packed to the brim. Pulverized to perfectly uniform bits in seconds. I think I screamed. I took out the greens and next I threw in five cloves of whole garlic. Instantly shredded into fairly uniform bits, the size you'd get from chopping by hand. Then added two huge jalapeno peppers and some onions. Five seconds later, they are...

matt zunke: This blender works well enough for the price. Its not the most powerful, but it does the job. It has help up to light use for several years. By light use I mean once a month at most. I can't say for sure, but it does not have the feel of something that would last long under daily use or use in a high volume kitchen.
