dDave: I got this mirror with the mistaken idea that I didn't want a mirror that extended beyond the end of the handlebar. This was a mistake caused by me wanting to park my bike in tight quarters. The mirror itself is not particularly to blame for my bad choice, it just is not very useful to me as a bike rider.

I found the mirror to be easily mounted and adjusted, but this mirror simply is not big enough to see behind me over the bulge of my arm. I can either see better behind me (but not see very much dur to limited field of view past my arm) or I can see more off to the side but not directly behind me. A larger mirror would help but would then suffer from difficulty in adjusting since it would be larger and heavier so that the tension on the friction clamp would have to increase.

My next mirror will be mounted at handlebar end, will go up (so I can see over my arm) and will be at least the size of this mirror but rounder. It'll also be adjustable and easily moved out of the way when I park my bike. Yes, it will stick out more from the handlebar (and that's the point!). Live and learn.

Dennis McCool: Hafny makes great bike mirrors. Rock stable and easy installation. This particular mirror is a thin profile so the mirror surface is fairly small. Also the mirror surface is flat which provided true to life images. A slight convex mirror would provide greater visibility. The stainless steel mirror surface is great for long term durability. I recommend for bicycles, e-bikes and small trail bikes.

wootlerwootler: I was having trouble shopping for a bike mirror that I thought would work well for our Cruiser/Comfort Bikes. Had actually thought that all I would see with a top mounted mirror would be my arm. I decided to give these Hafny mirrors a try, possible mounted below the handlebar. I didn't like the under the handlebar mount at all, and found that they actually work very well mounted above the handlebar.
Hard to get a camera shot of what I actually see, but the photo is pretty close. My arm is in about 1/3 of the mirror looking back which is fine for knowing what's coming up on you. But in just a few miles of riding I was automatically shifting my arm momentarily just a couple of inches as I glanced back which gave me a full view.
Mirror seems to be pretty stable. We have a couple of cobblestone streets which I normally avoid, but I have ridden a block or so occasionally and the mirror has not moved.
On our gravel trails the vibration makes it a little more difficult to see, but I just can't imagine any bike mirror performing any better.
I am very happy with these mirrors for our needs.

Product review: The above 5 star ratings apply. You can postion the mirror in a number of different ways that enable all riders to find the best rear view picture that suites them. For example, I like the mirror "wrapping around "my hand on the grip. I feel that gives me the best rear view. My wife however, tried it there and it didn't work for her. She prefers the mirror rerview with the mirror postioned above her hand and grip. The flexibility of postioning with this mirror is very good. After multiple failures with helmet mounted "monical" style rewer view mirrors, this worked beautifully for us.
