SMarvel: A version of the first book in the point of view of Hades provides an insight to the inner workings of his mind. It is refreshing to hear the viewpoint of the lead male and the God of the Underworld.

M. Rose: I may love this more than A Touch of Darkness. Hades view brings so much more information to the table and is well worth reading.

JMIA2: Holy crap. My cheeks blushed so much during this. It’s cool to read the same events but from Hades perspective I will say that if this becomes a TV series kingdom of cards by bad omens is the perfect hades song. None the less I finished this book in a day onto the next and I have already burned through half the book I am forgetting that I am supposed to be working but this series is so damn good it’s impossible to put down the book.

Krystal Macias: I love that this is an alternate view of A Touch of Darkness because it shows that Hades and Persephone are their own characters. I know that they way it is written still reflects the other person but focusing more on one of their perspective just shows us that there is more than what meets the eye.
Hades is definitely preferred over Persephone thus far but he has had years to grow and process emotions to understand that Persephone needs that time and patience.
I loved seeing into his world and to be able to see that while he cares what Persephone thinks about him, he is still who he is and does what needs to be done.
I also loved seeing more of Hecate and Hermes. His side of life is much more entertaining than Persephone's.

McKinley Devine: “How do you feel when you look at her?
Like I was born from chaos.”
A Game of Fate is the retelling of A Touch of Darkness but now from Hades perspective.
I absolutely adored this book. The added information on Hades' thoughts and feelings took this to an entirely new level and it is one of my favorite reads of the year. I didn’t think it was going to be possible to love the characters introduced in ATOD anymore but this one proved that wrong!
Hades and Hecate have got to be one of my favorite platonic duos of all time and I loved every single scene of the two of them together. I can not wait to get more from those two in later stories.
The spice is not super prevalent but the couple of scenes that there are are amazing. Getting Hades POV adds something so much deeper to them and I couldn’t get enough. I genuinely can not wait to read the rest of the series, especially the ones from Hades' perspective!

I don’t really know what to think of this book. I loved a touch of darkness and I love the fact that this is Hades POV. But the events were the exact same and sometimes that kind of bored me. There was an additional plot line which was meeting other gods and seeing how Hades handled things which I really enjoyed reading about.
But other than that the scenes with Persephone were the same which could sometimes be a bit boring.
If you haven’t read a touch of darkness you’ll probably like this way more because everything will be new!
However I still enjoyed reading it and can’t wait to read the rest of the series!!

Amy Braun: I really loved A Touch of Darkness and I wondered how different the story would be from Hades' POV. Turns out, the answer is, A LOT! And all in a good way! I absolutely LOVED this book. It is bolder, darker, sexier and taps into the lore and mythology way more. The gods play pivotal roles and each one has a distinct personality. I couldn't get enough!
Seeing the darkness in Hades, his skewed moral compass and the secrets he has and continues to keep from Persephone make him a far more layered character. He isn't just a sex, brooding god, but a man with complex and uncertain emotions who will do anything for his lady. I loved his interactions with Hecate and Hermes, who have officially become my favourite side characters. There were new scenes added to familiar ones, which amplified the steam ten fold.
The plot has so much going on, so many unique threads that change how scenes in ATOD unfolded. I thought it was cleverly done and it was a joy to read. The banter and chemistry between the two leads was fantastic and they are becoming one of my favourite bookish couples. There were also side plots and threads left open for future books, and I can't wait to see how they...

Robyn: Hades POV has absolutely blown my mind! He would watch the world burn for her! I loved the depth of this book because it’s shows his true character and how he is torn between the past and his true self with Persephone and his potential. Another fantastic book in this series.
