Alaric Bond: An excellent primer for many styles of playing that certainly starts with the basics but continues to quite a high level. My only real criticism is the use of "simply" et al - if a procedure is simple it will be self-evident, if not, the term will annoy. Apart from that, easy reading and excellent instruction.

Amazon Customer: It’s good but it would have been better to group chords differently and have better songs to learn.

Adrian Relph: This has great reviews, and I’m sure it’s good, but not good enough to keep me interested in reading it. I found I was better off just going the through the Russ Shipton guitar books and finding my way around the songs. Gradually making progress on the tougher ones while getting better at the easier ones. Maybe I’ll get back into and learn something more than I could by just playing.. but I don’t really feel thsts happened yet.

ChadChad: This book is a good start but in no means replaces a guitar teacher in anyway for a beginner. This is fine if your further along then at the beginner stage like if you had six months of music lessons. There's more talk in it then actual playing but you can watch their videos online whenever you want.
It's alright but I'm more of a hands on type of guy.

Frank: As a teacher of music (Guitar, Bass, Percussion) I found this book to be quite useful with helping to form ways to reach new students to the guitar with initial vital information. With a hectic schedule I can quickly go over items and comparatively develop another angle to help the student acquire knowledge and skill in the learning process. Definitely useful in my opinion.
