Jane H: My old gas mower finally puttered out on me mid-cut - smoke billowing, liquids oozing - not a pretty sight!
I knew I wanted an electric mower, but didn’t fancy paying for a cordless one. I decided I’d give this one a go seeing as it was the same size as my previous mower (21 inch cut), the reviews were ok, and frankly, because it was a pretty green colour!!

Delivery and assembly:
It arrived quickly and the friendly delivery guy carried it into the garage for me. It weighs 60 lbs, something that, at first, concerned me, until I realised that I would be pushing it about, not dead-lifting it for fun!
The only tricky moment was wrangling it out of the box, but plucky thing that I am, I managed! I read the instructions, installed the handle and was ready, and eager, to try it out.

Performance/experience:
Well, what fun was had! It’s easy to adjust the wheel height (one lever to raise all wheels to up to 3 3/4 inches), easy to manoeuvre with one hand leaving you to use the free hand to learn the art of Olympic cord tossing! Hans-Peter Blum: I used the mower a couple times now, and it works very well for me. I own a 100x200 feet property, it cuts the grass with no problems at all. I used the rear bag, which I must admit fills up very fast, but that also depends on how thick and long your grass is and how short I cut it. The mulching function also worked well, one thing one has to do of course is clean the underside of the mower after each time used, specially when the grass is moist, it sticks to the underside of the deck. Glad I purchased the version where I have to use an extension cord, not sure if the battery pack would last for the size of the property. Compared to my old gasoline engine mower, the noise level is reduced drastically, no use of gasoline either. All in all, so far I am very pleased with the mower.

OneCoffeePlease: Let me start by saying a few things:

(1) I have been using a corded electric mower for about 15 years. I have a very large lawn, both front and back. I’ve made it a point to use a 13-amp mower because it is powerful enough to cut through thick grass and weeds. I prefer electric because there is zero maintenance. I prefer corded because there are no issues with battery charges or battery longevity.

(2) It is imperative that you use a thick gauge power cord to prevent the motor from burning out. The longer the cord, the thicker you need. This is because the electric current diminishes the farther it needs to travel from the outlet to the mower. A thicker gauge will ensure the electricity current’s integrity. I need 125 feet, so I use a 10 gauge (which costs just as much or more than the mower). It can get tricky to become accustomed to using a cord this long, but once I got the hang of it, it was pretty easy. Just be careful… Over the years I’ve mowed through two cords… given their expense, that was very sad indeed. — If you are mowing a smaller area, you probably won’t need to purchases a 10 gauge, but it wouldn’t hurt.

mitchell: This replaced our gasoline mower which was a pain to start every year. We got tired with with the maintenance of getting it to start. Remember, there is a cord here and this is really only good if you have blocks of grass to cut and not have to navigate around trees and other objects. Go go for the charger pack otherwise. Remember to also charge your battery beforehand as there will be a loss of power the longer you cut.
I really like the multiple height settings and super easy start up. Extra large wheels at the back too. Cuts the grass fine and you can do it in the early morning without bothering the neighbors. Not much to assemble here except the handle. If you do not want a cord to roll up this is not for you.

It has been two years to the date that I bought this law mower, I could not be any happier, besides the fact that in those 2 years, I do not know what is to deal with carrying fuel cans in my car, fixing clogged carburetors, changing spark plugs, oil, and air filters.
The only thing that I have done to this machine, is the occasional cleaning of the machine and keeping the blade sharp.
I gave it a five starts when I bought it and used the first day, I keep giving it the five stars.

Nice machine, light weight, easy to handle, a lot of power but it is not a self propel mower. Excellent if you want to keep yourself fit. Recommended if your lot is 25 ft in the front and 25-50 ft in the back. If you have 100 Ft lot get ready to drag a lot of cable.

The motor is a brush motor which means that is a high speed with a lot of torque.
Noise level is much lower than a gas engine mower, no fumes, no gas, no oil changes and no tune-ups. No need to store fuel in your garage or shed.
