Brent H.: Very good mower. I already own this mower which I have been using for at least the past five years without trouble.

Unfortunately, I had to buy the same mower a second time because I couldn't get a replacement grass catcher bag from Greenworks for my previous mower. A squirrel, if you can believe it, got into my shed and shredded my grass catcher bag. Greenworks should been stocking replacement bags for this mower so I didn' t have to buy a second mower.

Still, this is a solid mower, works well and built tough. Light weight and easy to maneuver around a small yard. Stores nice too with fold down handle. One of the better mowers Greenworks makes. Highly recommend.

Fools and Sages: I own a townhouse, so my yard is tiny at 325 sq ft. For years, I used a reel mower and a weedwhacker to take care of it and it would take about 45 mins to an hour, depending on how long the grass and weeds had gotten. I’m not great about doing yard-work because I live where the weather is hot and humid about 7.5 months out of the year. My house is also built on what used to be a swamp, so I get ginormous dandelions with thick stems, weird bushy weeds that have a woody consistency, and other tough weeds I refer to as “swamp weeds.” No weed killer I’ve found seems to stop these plants from growing. The swamp weeds are persistent and the weather stinks, so it means I usually cut the grass about once a month.

This lawnmower has reduced my yard-work to about 15 mins when it’s ankle high and about 30 mins when it’s knee high. Set on level 2, the mower can handle tall grass in one pass. It takes out the swamp weeds in one pass. It takes out the prehistoric size dandelions in one pass. It gets close enough to the fence, the house foundation, and the bases of my container planters to reduce the weedwhacking to whacking around the hvac and the corners...

Old Guy: Update: The mower also works great for mulching. It is very easy to change from mulching to basket. The mulching plug is very easy to use.

I shop regularly at Amazon and frequently read and rely on customer reviews, but I hardly ever write one. I have been mowing lawns for 60 years and have always believed you need a 5 HP gas mower to mow grass. Period. But times change. I wanted to try an electric corded mower to see if it would help with several issues. Until last month, I had never, ever used anything but gas. This 16" mower exceeded all expectations. I gave away my old mower, gas cans, air filters, and tossed the oil changing pan and a bunch of other stuff. I am never going back.

This particular mower is very well designed. I do not know how well it will hold up over time, but based on three mowings of heavy, wet, tall northwest spring grass, I think the build quality is very good and I expect it to last. It has plenty of power to mow grass. It is very easy to change mower height with one control. The mulching plug is a welcome addition (but mulching will have to wait for drier weather.)
