I bought it to replace a gas-powered 21" toro lawnmower that came with my house (i.e., "old"). The unit is extremely light and easy to move around the lawn. I have a ~6000sqft yard, with various features (trees, roots, mulched areas, hills, and uneven spots) and it takes about 1.5 charges of the battery to complete the entire yard. Assembly was simple and straightforward. Battery removal is easy - not sure why people are complaining about it. The "elite" battery is nicer than the ones that came with my other green works tools. It has a USB port (I guess to charge other devices?) and bluetooth connection which I still haven't used, but I assume it is used to monitor the battery level remotely. The lawnmower is whisper quiet compared to my old lawnmower, but it does have a bit more trouble cutting longer / thicker grass. That longer grass tends to get choked up in the discharge from the cutting area to the bag, but it is pretty simple to remove and get the lawnmower started again (push-button operation). I also recommend cleaning the lawnmower undercarriage regularly (using a leaf blower), which is easy since it has no gasoline or...

Mindcrime: I was sad to retire my Honda that I used in High School to cut my parents yard and then when they retired they gave to me for my yard. The Honda was amazing and not many products with an engine run for 37 years. While I could have kept the Honda going the cost to keep it up was outweighing the purpose and getting a new mower seemed a better decision. When looking at a new mower I was interested in an electrical mower to help with air pollution and reducing CO2. I decided on the GreenWorks as I have another GreenWorks product and having the same battery for both is beneficial.
The box the mower came in was pretty good size but assembly was super easy. Very little to put together and I had to ready to role in no time. I charged up the battery and gave the mower I try and so far it has worked well. It takes a bit getting used to compared to gas powered mower but once I figured everything out it works just fine. If you have the mower set to low it may stop to protect the engine etc. I have mine on level 4 and it powers through the grass without issue. Time will tell how it will perform on higher wet grass that comes during the summer with rain and watering. I use the...

njscnm: This is my first cordless electric mower, previously used a gas mower and a corded electric. I prefer the convenience of electric but tired of dragging the cord around and also loopin it up with finished. This was the answer to my needs, the best of both.
Battery life: I have a typical suburban lot, maybe 60x100. First use I used self-propelled the entire time but was not able to finish my entire yard. I restarted and just pushed it and finished for the last few passes. The next time, I pushed on level ground and used self-propel for the slight inclined areas in the back. I finished the entire yard and still had 1 light left. If the battery doesn't last long enough, try using the self-propel less and you may find it to be perfect as well.
Cutting: mulching is not the best, leaves clumps of grass. But the bagging option is good although who would choose a WHITE grass bag?? Not a very thoughtful design, it showed grass and dirt stains with the very first use.
May 25, 2020: still using this mower and still happy with it. I don't mind push with some help from the self-propel from time to time so I can get the full lawn mowed with 1 battery charge. Perfect for me....

Don: I suspect the 6ah battery will not be sufficient. (after 2 complete cycles of cutting, 6ah is adequate for .3 acres, provided the grass is dry. Wet grass, when using self propelled capability, sucks up power. Need more more battery capability under those conditions.) Don't know what the height adjustments equates to - (I do now, thanks support staff!). Product registration resolved (thanks support staff.). I'm coming to love this machine. It's light weight, quiet and does a fine job on St Augustine grass. I look forward to cutting the grass... I think I'll buy one of their weed eaters... AFTER 1 YEAR - still cutting fine; one removal and sharpening of blade (very easy process); still quiet and effective; STILL recommend this for less than 1 acre (get two batteries.)
