Sandhya : It's too large to have grip. Not advisable.

Amazon Customer: Cheap construction. Gripped okay when installed but within 3 weeks both separated from the interior connection and fell off the wall, including the suction piece and could not be used again. I should of kept the old ones, 10 years old and still worked. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Genny McD: I like the concept of this model. Sadly, we have standard size tile in our bathroom, and the suction cups are large. Make sure you measure your surface to make sure it fits. It won't suction over grout. Won't suction to painted wood either. What I was able to get to suction though was very strong.

Mike Werner: Product does not hold up fasteners that hold suction cup together broke on both handles while attached to wall no force against them. If some one was using them this could have been an accident. Great product idea but inferior material used

Mistervh:
I sometimes feel unsteady in the shower and my fiberglass shower walls have nothing to hold onto, and are quite slippery when wet. These bars give me 2 convenient and sturdy handholds that I can place exactly where I need them. Their suction grip on fiberglass is exceedingly strong. They do not slip, and their textured grip ensures that my hand does not slip off. They are very reassuring. The handle diameter and wall clearance are just right. They do not jut into the shower space obtrusively, so I do not bump into them.
Installation:
One caution: Use these to steady yourself with only moderate pressure, NOT to hold your entire weight. While the bars themselves are very sturdy and “grippy”, this does not mean your wall surface can sustain a lot of pressure from your weight. In other words, since these grip onto the wall surface, that surface may fail to hold if you place too much weight on the bars. This is NOT the fault of the bars! For example if you place onto wall tiles, those tiles may break away from the wall if you place all your weight on the bar. If you need something to pull a lot of your weight up, I recommend that you use grab bars that...

Mark Chidichimo: I don't like to write negative reviews, but in this case, since safety is an issue, I will.
The fact that these could be easily installed and moved around was attractive to me. I have a fiberglass tub/shower, which would seem to be the ideal surface to use these on. I thoroughly cleaned and dried the surface before installation, and found smooth, non-curved areas to place them on.
The first set of these lasted one day. I was using one of the bars to steady myself - not to pull my full weight in or out - when one of the plastic rods holding the suction cup broke. The other handle seemed fine so I simply returned the pair and asked for a replacement set, which immediately came.
I had the second set for less than two weeks when one of the cups on the lower handle simply lost suction, while one held. I reaffixed it and warned my wife not to depend on these and use them only for stability. While taking a shower earlier today, I again simply grabbed the top one and one of the plastic rods again broke. I am returning this set for a refund.
The manufacturer should consider metal rods as opposed to plastic to hold the suction cups in place.
