Anne B.: I loaned my old set of clippers and never got them back. When one door closes another opens...these are vastly superior to the old ones I had. The first time I use them I successfully clipped 17/20 claws!!! A new record. Pros: easy to unlatch with one hand, nice size for smaller hands, handy guard so you don't clip too much. They even have a handy file stored in the handle, but we haven't progressed to filing yet. Cons: none.

Joseph Keyes: Like the headline says, these are the bomdiggity (that means good) when it comes to doggie nail trimmers! Trimming my doggie's nails is very easy with these, she doesn't protest like with other trimmers.

The best part for me is the stop plate that slides into place and makes sure you're not cutting off too much nail. If you don't like the stop plate, it slides out of the way easily. (I just looked it up, they call it a Safety Guard)

I've had guillotine types, clippers shaped like pliers, and several other types, but these suit me and my doggie the best.

The nail file looks neat, but I don't really need to use it - the trimmers themselves cut cleanly enough.

Chloe Smith: Bought this to trim the family dogs' (14f and 15m) nails and it worked perfectly. I managed to do each paw over the course of the day with lots of encouragement and treats. Definelty feel confident the safety guard did it's job and lessons risk of overtrimming. Would recommend reading some tips and watching a video beforehand if your dog is reactive (female needs muzzle to prevent nipping as she does not like paws being touched) or have specific nail needs.

However in the centre of the clippers there is a plastic disc that covers up the connecting screw and and this has fallen off during a clipping.. then a day later the other side fell off too. These are the right size for dogs to eat so just be cautious or remove them to start with to be on the safe side
