Cynthia Cook: Finally. It was nice to read a book that made me feel so not alone in the world. I’ve often felt like I’m the only woman who thinks the way I do, and in a sense that’s true. But after reading Cara’s book it was nice to know we share a lot of the same ideals and thought processes. Very inspired by this read. Definitely feeling like a girl on fire now 🔥

Cliente Amazon: In few words: an autobiography. There are points of reflections, but the concepts are not digged in. On the contrary, these reflections are supported by the author’s episodes of life, very repetitive. I was expecting a theoretical book, some practical and personal exemples can be inspiring, then they become boring.

Elyse butler: Girl on fire !! Another amazing book by the queen of self development 👸! Anything she says is gospel to me! 2 years ago I found myself crawling out if a dark hole (aka drug addiction) I found myself sober for the first time in 15 years ,today I am 2 years sober !! And I didn't know who I was or what to do or where to start,a mentor told me about queen cara and I was hooked! She has saved me more than she will ever know !! I wouldn't be the sober confident women/ mother I am today without cara! I tell everyone about her books,blogs,podcast ! I highly recommend anything that's written by cara

Miss.Nina.H: Honestly, the book is fine. There's nothing wrong with it if you're looking for a pick me up or you're going through a hard time and need some clarity or support. However, it's difficult to take the author seriously when she talks about "supporting other women" when really she only supports certain kinds of women - women who agree with her politically. If you dare to think for yourself or have your own opinions that are different than hers, you're not welcome on her social media or in her groups so I take it that her books aren't for us either if you're not in lock step with her. In the book, when she talks about supporting other women and not being in competition with them or encouraging other women to use their voice or be themselves, the voice in the back of my head said "Really? Because that's not the message you share on Instagram or Facebook." So I guess I say all that to say this - if you're hoping that the woman in the book will be the woman in reality, you'll be as disappointed as I was. It's exhausting but I guess my search to find a female author who truly supports all women continues.

Shannon: This is the first book I’ve read by cara and absolutely loved it. I found her personality to be so relatable and down to earth. Her personality definitely comes through in her writing and I love how she shared personal stories of friends successes too. I even started following some of them too. This book introduced me to her podcast which I now listen to weekly. I’m definitely going to move on to read one of her other books next. I love how she uses inspiration to motivate women. Being in my mid thirties this book gave me the motivation to keep pursuing my dreams. But what I loved the most was how she encouraged the idea of multiple dreams. I’ve always been told to just pick one thing and stick to it. But I have multiple passions and interests and cara is the first author I’ve ever really seen push for that, support it, and encourage it. I’m definitely a fan now.

Barbara Reinhardt: It is a nice book with encouraging words and some good points (e.g. women should lift each other instead of judging each other). The author unterlines her points with lots of small stories and anecdotes from her own life. Overall, I hoped for the book to go a little more into depth. It is very simple and short because there are a lot of empty pages where readers can answer questions. To really help women step up, the book should be a little more challenging and go beyond the obvious.

Cover to cover in one day, and then I spent this morning listening to the rain going back to answer all the questions. 🌧⠀

To briefly explain why I’m so obsessed with Cara, she’s a self published author dedicated towards inspiring women. She published Girl Code, which was then picked up and republished by Penguin Random House, and got a book deal for her book, Like She Owns The Place. ⠀

What I love so much about her, is that after getting the author’s DREAM, she went back and self-published Girl On Fire, and in this book explains why you don’t need other people to choose you to be validated in your work. ⠀

I’ve struggled with this for Future Boss Lady, and I personally self published because I just couldn’t stand to sit around and wait for someone to believe in me. I believed in FBL so much that I knew it needed to be out there, book deal or not. ⠀

Reading Girl on Fire made me feel so secure in that decision and made me feel inspired to do it over and over again. ⠀
