Bought it and installed it. Set the pins for the run time and the microswitch doesn't make contact with the wheel so the pump doesn't turn on when it's supposed to. It runs in manual just fine. Called GE and the person on the phone said I can return it and it will take 2 weeks to get replacement. She didn't even understand what the issue was with the unit. For reference I sell motors and motor controls for a living so I know how these things work. Very disappointed. UPDATE. Ordered a second one and when I opened the box a part fell out. Had to take it apart and put it back in!

Los utilizo para manejar diferentes horarios para luces exteriores de una plaza, muy utiles!, llevan menos del año y no han presentado problemas y a pesar de que eventualmente hay cortes de luz, la pila de backup ha sido de mucha ayuda.
Los recomiendo despues de haber pasado con diferetentes timers incluyendo mecanicos que se atoraban, atrasaban o detenian por cortes de luz.
El unico problema es que no son faciles de encontrar porque se le acaban al proveedor

This is my third box. The first one was damaged in shipping somehow. The second one has been working great! We have it connected to our pool pump. Unfortunately, our house got hit by lightning & the second one didn't survive. So this is my third, but my husband had it all changed out in 15 minutes & we were back on schedule after I set the current time and the timer. Much easier than ones I've had before where you have to unscrew stoppers & move them then screw themback on tight. This is just pushing down pins & simply pulling them back up when you want to change things. VERY IMPORTANT to read installation instructions, though, to set 3 switches before turning it on and always set pins & time with it off.

I've been using this unit for a little over a month now. installation was relatively easy. Programming can get confusing and monotonous at times, but the timers do work. You don't have to set all timer slots...I think I use about 5 of them and run it with the same schedule every day. Only time will tell if the relays last, but so far I am happy with it. The metal housing seems durable. One thing that took one star from it is the LCD screen. It is terrible outdoors. They need to go back to the drawing board for this. If you are out on a sunny day (which mine is installed outdoors), the daylight and the LCD screen did not mix. I had to look at it straight on covered in the shade to be able to see the numbers and programming. Just be aware of this.

I am using this unit on a water heater (240v) to use only off-peak power and after a week it works well and is saving me money. Hooking up the wires correctly is challenging but doable if you watch the linked video and plan ahead carefully with the correct guage of wire. The screws are mounted quite deeply in the plastic housing so you have to carefully chose the correct screwdriver and watch to not overtighten. Programming with the instructions was simple although the display is difficult to read depending on the light source and angle.

Rock-solid, well-made timer, works great. Unfortunately, it stopped working after 11 months but, the supplier, with no hesitation, sent me a replacement. I also have one of these on my hot water heater which is still functioning well and, saving me lots of money. It's already paid for itself.

I skipped much of the installation instructions. Hitting RESET would have saved me time, however. And while programming the Timer On Off times, hitting the CLOCK button would allow me to escape from programming more On / Off than I needed.
The heavy 8 guage wires can be a challenge in a tight space. I removed the device from the housing for easy access to connect wires. I'm not sure this was a good choice.
This unit is exceptionally easy to program.
It is flexible for use in 120V, 240V and multiple load configurations.
Happy with our choice to replace the failed Intermatic EH40.
This unit also avoids the unnecessary complexity of Wifi and Phone Apps for our simple implementation..
The integrated NIMH battery means I have no need to replace the batteries as in others. It is rechargeable and will last longer than I will.
