embrlady: I bought this for my dear husband, who handles all the weeds in the gardens. It's also great for taking a break while pulling weeds, by turning it around and sitting. He likes the fact that the pads cushion his knees, which is better than kneeling directly on the ground. I gave it 4 stars only because the tool pouch has to be moved when going between a kneeler and a seat.

Moni Bardon: I was looking for something to kneel on for a while now and this product is okay in that aspect. It's firm enough so I don't feel like I am sinking into it. However, I wish the pad was a little closer to the ground as I have to bend over more compared to me kneeling on the bare ground so my back feels a bit strained. But I have a sensitive back so other people may not get the same ache. I end up having to reposition myself a lot as it is a bit awkward for my feet as well (sort of on my tiptoes when I kneel on the pad as opposed to flat when regularly kneeling if that makes sense). As for the sitting portion, I have no complaints. I didn't need a 2-in-1 as I have a decent chair already but I am glad I got this. I use it more than my other chair now. Don't let its looks fool you! It's very sturdy! Other people I know were hesitant to sit on it and were surprised by how stable it actually is. They prefer to use this over the chair now. I might have given this product 3 stars for the kneeling portion alone but the sitting portion really saved it. JW Ideas: Update: we had a greenhouse fire which destroyed the bench. I'll have to purchase another in the future because my wife loved it.

Let me begin this with cost and expectation and the reason for 5 stars.
Cost: relatively inexpensive for a padded portable yard stool or kneeling pad.
Expectation: because of the price I knew it would not be the most valuable metals and padding known to man but it should be perfect for our application.
Value: I purchase most items based on product reviews, reputation, cost and return on investment. This bench is high value based on fair construction and multiple functions for the cost of purchase. I had reasonable expectations but it did exceed them with cushion comfort and functionality in switching from stool to kneeler.
The good: high value, lightweight, tool pouch, sitting height, padding, kneeling handles, construction, paint.
The bad: mine had a tight hinging system, folding away for storage only works in specific order, tool pouch useless in kneeling mode, narrow padding, no rubber bumpers on ground contact points.

For value and purpose it's a great deal. For cleaning lower half of vehicles and working in the garden...
