Alexandre N.: A estória é empolgante. A narrativa não nos deixa perder a atenção. Não vejo a hora de ler a continuação do livro

Catherine Mackay: What I like most about Raymond Weil, is his ability to tell great stories that are adventurous, exciting and engrossing. Whenever I get my hands on one of his books, I find myself, at times so involved with the story-line that I bite my lip and almost forget to breathe during particularly tense scenes. Galactic Wars: Emergence is no exception; at times I thought my favourite characters were about to be wiped out and I'd be sitting there, heart pounding, thinking, oh no the Kleese are going to get them. At one point I had tears pricking my eyes at a rather drastic action the Earth fleet took to protect the habitats in the Sol System from invading Kleese warships and motherships - what an emotional rollar coaster is all I can say. In this second book in the Galactic Wars series, the Earth fleets take on several different missions to not only acquire new technology from the nonaligned worlds, but also to start a war between the Kleese and Strell Empires in order to buy time for humanity to develop new technolgy and sufficient personnel to crew their warshps. A thoroughly exciting and enjoyable read.

Jarrak:
I read the first novel in the series as part of an anthology and it stood out for it's more straight forward storytelling and characters which wasn't a bad thing as it produced a fast paced and entertaining scifi story dealing with an attack on the Earth by a race known as the Kleese. In Emergence we have the remnants of the human race along with their Kivean allies making full use of the years the solar system was ignored by the Kleese and now with a dedicated FTL capable fleet of ships and Battle Suits they look to made the Kleese Empire regret their brutal treatment of this part of the galaxy.
Emergence was an excellent addition to the Galactic Empire Wars series, the technology while perhaps a little easily created and obtained by the humans and their allies may be considered a flaw in the narrative but this isn't that sort of story, the action is fast and furious with pacing kept up even when dealing with the rebirth of politics and economics in the society born amongst the settlements in the solar system. It's definitely a page turner and an easy novel to read while maintaining the wonders science fiction can offer to the reader. The third novel in the...

Dave Reid:
Book two of the series was even better than the first. Several times I was on the verge of tears and I just could not put it down. Riveting action, smoothly written with much improved overall polish over book 1. And once again I appreciated the fact there was virtually no swearing of any kind and not even the faintest hint of smut. This is a big deal to a large group of Christian type Sci-Fi fans out there. I would have no reservations about recommending this series to anyone, even my bishop at church.
Thanks Raymond for another great book, keep up the great work.

I have to say that I really liked this book. It is definitely my type of book. Big bad guys comes and wrecks havoc with the human civilization thinking we are little more than cattle that can be disposed of how and when they feel like it. Big bad guys are about to learn that they might be bigger but the humans sure as hell are “badder”. There are plenty of action in this book and it is a nice mix between marine ground action and fleet action in space. I truly enjoyed this.
The book is as well written as most of the other books that I have read from this author (which is most of the books that he has written). This means that the science is plausible in a science fiction kind of way, the characters are nice and the story is a good one. The story might be a bit light compared to some books but I rather have a light adventure story with a good mix of action, character development and bits and pieces that rounds off the scenario than a deep story that spends way too much time on character interaction and political nonsense.
Speaking of political nonsense. I really like how they are dealing with the surviving career politicians. I whish we could do...

Charlie Thurman: This is very good military SF novel. It is well written and has a very good plot. If I could have I would have given it 4.5 rating. As an old Marine(73)I was irritated by a couple of things: Colonels' and Majors do not serve as bridge crews of ships in any navy on earth that I know of. Even mercantile ships are commanded by people with the rank of Captain. It caused me to grit my teeth{what few I have left) to read of Major ------ the executive officer, or Captain ----- the commander of the battlecruiser-------.. It interrupted the flow of the story. The second thing that bugged me was the term Space Marines. We don't call them Sea Marines, so why Space Marines. They are Marines. These are admittedly nitpicking items, but every time I saw them I was momentarily distracted by them. I would think that my Navy comrades may feel the same. The writer used the terms Ensign and Admiral in the book, so I can''t see any reason to use military ranks instead on naval ranks for other ships personnel. Like I said, nitpicking, but distracting to those of us that served in the naval services. Enough of my rant. This is a very good book ans is very entertaining.

Carlo gonzalez: I only want to know why do the fleets always go into a planetary system to wait out whatever instead of between stars? Its not like they need strong sunlight to do maintenance and whatnot. I mean they don't want to be seen, right?? Also why don't they make all battle suits as strong as a command suit except without its electronics? It would save a lot of soldiers lives especially when your short on people. I'm just saying
