Sound comment: Very glad with my purchase.
I can fit my iPad 12x12 in it along with other bits and pieces.
The design is great! the way the straps lead off from the top of the pack means the weight distribution is comfy while not adversely impacting / straining the material, which means there's longevity in this backpack.
I also love the design and colour (which is true to image).
I've not been out when it's raining, so can't comment on how wet weather will affect it. But it seems to be well made and of durable material.
My only niggle is that it doesn't pack down very small, which really given the quality of material isn't surprising. Though you can fold, squash it up and it springs back out ok.
So, can happily recommend if you're looking for a day backpack or something to carry around extra 'stuff' in !

Marilyn: This backpack has been my go to for my last 3 trips. The size is just right and the quality is great! I've had it for almost 2 yrs. I throw it into my carry on and use when roaming. The best part so far is that it's waterproof! I found this out on my Universal Studios trip. We sat in the front for the Waterworld show and got drenched but the items inside of my bag were perfectly fine, so glad because I had my instax with me. My recent Seattle trip was a rainy one as well but I wasn't worried about my stuff and glad I brought it along. Great for hikes as well. I would definitely purchase again.

C Egan: I got this backpack for a trip to the Southwest national parks. It is so compact for traveling that you can fit it in the little 5 or 6” flat zip close plastic bag it comes in. It’s extremely light and practical. There are two zippered compartment. The large compartment has two sections. One thing I really like about it are the shoulder straps -they are slightly padded, so they don’t cut into your shoulders.

I carried a water bottle, some literature, various chargers, earphones and my phone, a kindness bar, snacks, etc. and there was plenty more room.

I made the mistake of putting a banana in there, and totally forgot about it. Of course, it was smashed into baby food by the time I found it. However, I was able to wash it out quite easily and the lightweight fabric dried overnight.

Some others have complained that the lack of structure made for a bunch at the bottom the pack that hit against your back when you walked. I never found this to be a problem, but I really didn’t carry a whole bunch of heavy things except for the water bottle.

Old School: I did not know I needed this bag. I used it everyday while on my trip. It held a lot of small items and never felt heavy . A surprisingly good purchase.

jimnychris: I bought the Maple leaf blue design and there’s no doubt it is lovely. Unfortunately I ended up returning this particular bag because it is not super lightweight as described. I had previously bought the same backpack in grey for my husband and the overall weight of that one is 130g (as stated in the description) and when this one is packed away in its integral pouch it fits in your pocket. The maple leave blue option is made of thicker fabric, weighs at least 230g and doesn’t pack away into nearly as small a pouch. I think all the patterned options will be like this. Because packed away size and weight were important to me in this instance I have had to limit ton4 stars. I will be sending off for a plain green one. Hopefully that will be lighter and smaller when packed.

Kathy Ferris: Love this little day pack that holds a surprising amount of things. Very comfortable to wear on the back, not so much if you have to move it to the front. Love all the pockets and holders and how it folds into itself for travelling ... I just would have liked a secret pocket at the back for cards/keys. Made well and material seems very durable.

Paula: The price was good so it was easy to take a chance and buy this product. We are not big hikers so we needed a beginner pack and this product worked great for us. It holds several water bottles easily. Very light weight so it was not too hot to carry on the trails. It folds up into a very small package when you are done and can go right into your luggage. It wipes down with water and paper towel at the end of the day. I would recommend this product.
