G2 Telescopic Hiking Trekking Poles - Perfect for Long Distance Walks and Trails

Shane C: I, generally, do not use trekking poles, but my wife does. I purchased these to have a replacement for my wife should one of hers get damaged, and to have something to make setting up quick shelters much easier.

They are easy to adjust, stay put, and do what I need them to do. In fact, my wife likes them so much that she may start using them and I will carry one of her old poles. The feet on these are meant more for walking than hiking, but they are of better quality than the ones that came with my wife’s set (different brand).

The only weak spot is the plastic used for the tabs that lock the poles in place. They work fine, but they won’t last as long. This is reflected in the price, so it’s a decent compromise.

FerroFerro: I was in need of some new trekking poles since my old ones finally gave out on me.
Figured these were fairly priced and they looked good in the pictures.

The nice aluminum body feels sturdy and very lightweight, though not as light as my old carbon fiber poles.
-The foam grip is decent, would have preferred the cork grip but its not bad.

-Wrist straps only have a very thin foam pad on the inside, nothing to cushion but only for comfort to the touch. Would have been nice to have some actual padding like you see with most poles nowadays.

-The plastic locks used to lock the poles when extending held great, but I do worry about their longevity. The plastic used doesn't feel very strong and with my other poles I had aluminum or another lightweight alternative. This could be a point for improvement in the future.

-Poles came with a good variety of attachments so you can switch depending on your environment. They also came with a neat little carrying bag.

-Instructions were simple, straight forward.

I broke these in on their first trip doing a 10 mile hike up to the summit of a local mountain. They did great helping me reach my 10k...
