K4qts: Fortunately Apple has made it super easy to upgrade the ram in newer iMacs. I installed these into my new 2019, 27inch iMac. The computer recognized them right away. Easy peasy. I haven't put the computer to the test as far a speeding up my workflow when editing, but I would think with a total of now 24 gbs of ram, I shouldn't have any problems. In my opinion I really shouldn't need to upgrade to this much ram to make a new computer speedy, but with a lot of photography related software, the systems can get bogged down pretty quickly. And the fact that image files are now quite large, it takes a lot more ram to process the larger files. I have always had success with G. Skill products and will continue to purchase them without worry in the future. Great product at a great price.
