Cliente de Amazon: Había intentando con otro tipo de cepillos, guantes etc… y mi gato seguía dejando un camino de pelo a su paso. Este le retiro el pelito muerto sin problema. Lo utilice con mis dos gatos uno de pelo largo y el otro de pelo corto. Con ambos funcionó, a ninguno lastimó . Me había tardado en encontrar algo tan bueno.

JuggernautJuggernaut: I got my very first pet (a cat) earlier this year and I started learning a lot of things. Like your place will have pet hair everywhere and you have to do a lot of cleaning. I thought it would be awesome if could just be one step ahead and prevent all of that if I could. I was looking around here for cat toys and I came across this. I thought it was really pricey and when I was adopting my cat I already did get a rake brush and thought that would be enough. Unfortunately the rake brush did not do too much for my cat's shedding and there was plenty of cat hair everywhere. That is when I decided to bite the bullet and buy this. I looked at it as an investment.
The brush itself is quite nice. My cat is around 9 pounds and I just chose to go with the large long hair tool as she might still grow and get bigger. The blade on the brush is made of metal and looks to be good quality. What is awesome about this brush and why it costs so much is that it grabs up a lot of hair/fur with just one stroke. I would advise not to brush your cat too hard as mine does not like that and runs away. Also, I had to have a bag of treats out to lure her out so I could brush her. Sometimes I can...

I just bought a replacement Furminator from Amazon. There was some question about it being a fake. This has all the patent labels and trademarks of a Furminator and as far as I am concerned is the real thing. The spring action, feel, and weight are all identical to the original I purchased in a pet store--but at a more affordable price. And STILL worth every penny.
P.S. my missing Furminator still has not shown up. I suspect my kitties have created a shrine for it in some dark corner and are worshiping it.

I lost my Furminator. Let the hairball regurgitation begin! It's peak of the shedding season with four cats, and any surface they lie on is blanketed with cat hair. I've seen reviews saying this costs too much, and I was hesitant to purchase it. However, even after paying full price in a pet store, I can tell you that I will replace the lost one with another of this brand--saving a few dollars here on Amazon.
After misplacing the Furminator, I tried the stack of brushes and combs of various types I used to use. None removed one tenth of the hair that Furminator does. Some were almost useless. I...

Alectra RoxDene: I cannot express how amazing this tool is without sounding like a TV commercial or like they paid me off. They didn't, in fact, I bought this brush a couple days before its price dropped by more than half (sad truth). But this deshedding comb has exceed my expectations to an extent I had not thought possible.
I have 2 large short-hair cats, one 20-lb, one 17-lb, and both shed like crazy, getting fur all over everything. I have tried a few deshedding brushes in the past with marginal rates of success. They all work a little, but never enough that I feel like it was worth the time I spent doing it. Especially since the larger cat HATES being brushed. With anything. Soft bristle, plastic comb, metal, rubber, anything. He howls like he is being tortured and killed and won't get anywhere near you if a brush is in reach. He's the most friendly cat I have ever seen, craves attention like a dog, and loves everyone... unless they have a brush. The other cat loves being brushed with the same passion with which the other hates it. He will lie there for you to pet for hours if you don't stop. Even food and treats don't compete for his love of being brushed, and a 17-lb cat loves food....
