SMJ1602SMJ1602: I used this bed to stage a home. Luckily I didn’t actually use it to sleep. The bed lacks sturdiness and is not the best quality support. It was pretty easy to assemble with 2 people and there were no missing parts. We used an air mattress so I don’t know how a queen mattress would fit.

Craig Kirkwood: If I could give this bed zero stars, I would. After we had it for about 6 months, the slats and mounts started to break. We thought, that’s ok, We’ll just go to Lowe’s and replace them and reinforce them. We should’ve known that was just the beginning of faulty design on this bed. Over the next 12 months, the bed kept deteriorating.
By design, there are no slats in the center of the bed. This means, you will always sink down if you happen to sit on that part. Additionally, they tell you to not use a box spring with This bed. That is a terrible idea. If you happen to buy this bed (which I don’t recommend) you ABSOLUTELY need the box spring. Because the slats are weak and the attachment to the frame of the bed is poorly designed, the box spring would help evenly distribute the weight better so you don’t put too much weight on any of the individual slats.
Now let’s talk about the slats-many of them don’t even go all the way across the bed frame. Some are too short. Which makes the bed even more unstable.

Cecilia Kendus: I bought this bed frame in a queen size and am impressed at how easy it was to set up. Once I laid all the pieces out and took out all of the screws/pieces from inside the headboard fabric, the entire thing took me 40 minutes to build by myself. Make sure you look at the directions and determine the orientation of all the head board sections and how they fit together. You really only need another person to help during the last steps, just to hold one piece while you screw in another. So far the bed seems sturdy and it looks great!

Joanmarie CurranJoanmarie Curran: I like how the bed looks, it does need a longer twin mattress and thicker to come above the bottom of the headboard. We transitioned my son from a toddler bed to this and the height from the floor is perfect for that. I purchased this 8 months ago and it has broken twice. Once my three year old jumped on me sitting on the bed and the other him and two other little ones were playing and it broke. The wood supporting the slats just detaches and falls straight to the ground. We did use it as a guest bed for an adult for a few nights and my husband has fallen asleep in it before and it supports adults fine, just no jumping! I just added 4 2x4s, one under each existing piece of wood. Hoping we won’t have anymore issues. It is cheap enough, a few extra supports aren’t an issue. If it breaks again, I will be done with it. Will update if that happens.
