Comments

Margaret Agard: Alaska is an amazing place. I say that as one who has lived there "outside." Ann brings that alive so if you want an armchair trip to Alaska, dig in.
Even better Ann has written an excellent memoir showing her emotional growth, and the strengthening of her marriage by this move to an off-the-grid Alaskan cabin with all the changes and work required. Great stories told by a great story-teller/writer.

Amazon Customer: A great read! Readers should know that their are religious quotes and references that some people may or may not enjoy. It does not take away from a good story. Personally, I always take what I enjoy in book and leave the rest.

rusty82: Amazing read! Alaska is a dreamy world that works her charm on every person and draws them to her beauty. But life in Alaska is much different than the lower 48. Ann does a super job conveying the realities of moving to the bush. All the trials and the journey to embrace a new life. Her candor and personality really shine in her writing. I felt like I could hear her voice the entire time. But be aware- you WILL find yourself digging deeper and trying to move to Alaska ASAP. Great book. So loved it.
