Frizzlife SK99 Under Sink Water Filter System: Enjoy Clean, Refreshing Water with Advanced Filtration Technology

EvEv: I like the improvement in the taste of water. Better than using water filter pitches as I was doing before. Filter change was easy and fast. I chose to change the sediment filter in 6 months rather than 3 and this is what it looked like. Water was still tasting fine.
I wished the water regulator assembly wasn’t so fragile looking. I read several reviews of something breaking in the filter and causing a flood. I can see how that can happen.
I decide to install a YoLink water leak sensor with shut off valve. Cool automatic monitoring and shut off system for $200. Now if this ever leaked the water to the filter will automatically shut off.

Demonik: After looking at different solutions for some time I decided to take the plunge on this Frizzlife SK99 system, drawn to the 2pgm flow rate.

Packaging is nicely done, everything labelled on what to do and where to go. Even included a full roll of plumbers teflon tape for the fittings. You get 2 outlet hoses, 1 short and 1 long as well as an adaptor for 1/2" pipes.

Before installing I loosely attached the hoses and messed about with placement under the kitchen sync finally deciding where I wanted it and how best to attach all the hoses mindful of everything else under there.

I decided to mount it to the side of the cabinet to lift it off the floor, so I could use that space for something else. This I quickly regretted though as the mounting is unforgiving with the screw placement, just a fraction of inaccuracy and it's impossible to slide the unit on to the screws provided.. In the end I had some other screws which did a better job. It would have been better to have 2 tabs on either side of the unit to screw in rather than the holes at the back. Kevin Dzierwinski: I bought this filter for installing before an ice maker/water dispenser combo that I was installing. The unit installed extremely easy, and I had modified it to remove the leader hoses and go directly from the 1/2" nipples to 1/4" lines for the ice maker. Everything worked right out of the gate, with the caveat of one small leak from the bottom of the second stage cartridge cap. This was fixed easily by just removing it, cleaning the connection and adding a bit of o-ring lubricant.

The quality of the ice and water from this system is amazing. There is no odor or taste that gets imparted into a drink from the ice melting, and the water is super crisp and refreshing. You can definitely taste that this is allowing the good minerals through, but nothing else. My roommate and I still comment to each other how good the water tastes.

The cost of the replacement filters being between 11 and 19 dollars is amazing as well, offsetting the initial expense of the system with the reusable cartridge shells.

All in all, great experience and great product.

Mr. Opined Average Pessimist: Just received the filter after 14 days. In light of covid19 i have to accept the delayed delivery time. It is a large unit. Twice as big as my previous undersink filter, but still fits. Normal braided lines included. 32" x½"FIPx ⁹/¹⁶FIP. (And one shorter line 16"?) Also a strange little 2 piece reducer/adapter that i could not figure out how to use. I wrote a scathing review about how i needed to order extra hoses (which i did, but just cancelled) and kinda just now figured out the adapter/reducer. Im not a plumber but ive monkeyed around under a few sinks in my day, and have seen quite a few reducers in my day, but for some reason this one that came with the filters confused me. I still ended up attaching given water lines to existing water lines (like plugging 2 extension cords together, it shouldnt make you happy but you do it anyway) and now that its altogether and working properly im a little more happy. I dont know about the filtration, who really knows...but we have a heavy chlorine taste and it definitely removes that. I did try to register my product with the company and the website just kept running me around in circles telling me im registered but i havent ordered...
