Mikhaela: This is a game changer, this really helped me out in starting my 2 tanks (5 and 10 gallon), it helped stabilize it while I was running it with fish inside, adding a bit of it every water change kept my fish happy and helped with the establishment of the beneficial bacteria needed to keep the ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite levels down. It does give off a bit of odor but it manageable, it lasted my quite a long time (I put mine in the fridge). Definitely a great deal getting this size for its price point.

Jess: I recommend reading the website FAQs on this product. I ordered this in summer, got it next day, bottle smelled like death! They did replace it the next day. However on the site a smell earthy or stinky does not matter. I added it to tank and water does not stink, change water color, or harm fish!
Important to know that product should be used with a simple chlorine and chloramine remover/water conditioner NOT a ammonia remover. Product should also NOT be used with a growing plant light or UV sterilizer above 20 Watts as this will begin to kill the bacteria in the water. Simply turn your light at an angle for the next 5 days. Use only when you are testing for high total ammonia or Nitrites. This is the fastest and most recommended product on most fish keeping sights and don’t let the smell put you off. Company will send you a new one however if you do not trust it.

joycejoyce: I emailed Fritz about some quries and their response was prompt and friendly. been using these for tanks and i do not need to add any salts or whatever. Fzz7 will stink like old eggs and a bit brownish but it is normal, not spoiled. Fritzguard is bluish and dun need it as much as Fzz7. Keep them normally in cabinet and use them every water change. Instructions are clear..

mia: I've had a major cycle crash in my 10 gallon and nothing I have done had been helping. I have used this brand before to help me cycle and it worked great. This cycle crash has forced me to do major water changes every day for weeks. I ordered this brand again because it worked last time, and it arrived last night (took a few weeks to arrive, which is the big downside). However, I dosed it last night and tonight? Normal ammonia and nitrite levels for the first time in about 3 weeks. Thank god for this product

Jason H Eggers: I replaced the substrate and planted in my established aquarium. I've owned fish for over 30 years and always just let the tank sit for about 2 weeks and cycle naturally before adding the fish back. I decided to try this product to speed up the process so that I could my fish back from their small holding tank back to the main tank as soon as possible. I was a little hesitant adding it as the solution smells terrible, but it is live bacteria! I checked the ammonia and nitrites after a few days and they seems almost where they should be, so I added the fish back. They were a little sluggish at first, but were eating and back to normal with a week. Overall, the best way to cycle a tank is still waiting...

Kaitlyn: I love all Fritz products I’ve used and this is no exception. As long as I have fish, I will have a bottle of this hanging around. It’s helped me quickly bring down my ammonia/nitrite spikes. I’m currently struggling with a bad ammonia/nitrite spike and my new bottle is still in the mail 😭😭 I can 100% tell you that this stuff makes a difference. In my experience it’s not an “instant cycle” but it cuts the time down significantly.

Tony Kennedy: I tried two other products and followed results with an API master test kit. I started a freshwater 55gal tank and began a fishless cycle (with API tap water conditioner), however I wanted to speed up the process with a starter product.

I first tried Petco's Imagitarium Biological Booster product at the recommended starter dose. After one week using Dr. Tim's ammonia to start the cycle I was at 2ppm ammonia, 0ppm nitrite and 0ppm nitrate. I tried a second starter dose, again after a week (now 2 total weeks in) I was at 2ppm ammonia, still 0ppm nitrite and 0ppm nitrate.

Second, I tried API's Quick Start product at the beginning of week 3. At the end of week 3, you guessed it, 2ppm ammonia, 0ppm nitrite, 0ppm nitrate. I did not attempt a second dose of API Quick Start. I was beginning to lose faith in the idea of "quick start products".

After being frustrated by the previous two, I gave FritzZyme 7 a shot based on positive YouTube review content. I added the full 16oz bottle to my 55gal tank. The very next day I began to see trace nitrite readings (well under .25, most likely .125 or so). Within two days after that I saw ammonia begin to recede, and nitrite to...
