Perry: had to double up but still not thick enough

Lisa: I use Foot Petals for ball of foot, heel pad and if necessary, heel backs. They are game changers when I will be standing or dancing in heels. Only gave four stars as this item is not removable, they make some that are and I prefer that option.

Amazon Customer: Excellent, I don't know what I'd do without them. I have narrow feet and they stop my feet sliding forward in my shoes brilliantly and are very comfortable, unlike others on the market. I would highly recommend.

Lorna: I have used them in one pair of shoes so far and am pleased with them.

UAstudentn: I have got to say.. I purchased these years ago and didn't really use them until the past few weeks. I am the kind of person who buys heels because I think they are adorable, and then never wears them because after a few steps around the house my feet hurt so badly that I can't deal with wearing them for a few hours. I took a chance and wore heels on a night out DANCING a few weeks ago and put the petals right under the ball of my foot because that is usually where it hurts the most. I cannot even explain what a difference these petals made.. just having that small amount of cushioning under the ball of my foot made it feel like I wasn't wearing heels at all! I finally took the cover off of the adhesive and installed them in a pair of heels (I used to like swapping them but now I know I'm going to buy more so there is no need). The darker grey color goes perfectly inside of my black heels.

THESE THINGS MAY HAVE JUST SAVED MY CLOSET!!!

MRS CE STEWART: These added to my evening sandals have made them much better to walk in, but I also have been seeing a chiropodist too, so every little helps

K. P.: These are not going to transform your heel-wearing experience into one of breezy comfort (I don't think anything will). But they do help. They're a nice middle ground in terms of thickness and comfort - as other reviewers have noted, other products are often too thick to the point of being uncomfortable or making your shoes too tight. These are thin enough to fit easily in your shoe without crowding your foot, but still adding a little cushion. Let me emphasize again - the cushion is little. It's no magical cure. My feet still hurt after a few hours. But I particularly notice the difference when I DON'T wear them. This is especially true because I use these with my Latin dance shoes, which have very thin soles. You can practically feel the floor through them. So I really notice when I put on a pair of dance shoes without these petals - the floor suddenly feels much harder and less forgiving. I have also tried at least four other products, in my desperate attempt to eliminate pain. As mentioned, while other pads may be thicker and provide more cushion, I have found these to be most practical and comfortable overall. They are not slippery like the silicone or gel pads, which is...

Melrose Plant: I have tried many different kinds of shoe inserts, and this is the only kind I like. I have been using Foot Petals for about a year and a half, and I find them to be very durable. Whatever they're made of is rather more substantial than those squishy gel-type inserts you can find at the drugstore. Keep in mind, however, that I do not remove them once they're in place. I imagine that if a person switched them to a different pair of shoes very many times, the adhesive would cease to function satisfactorily.

I use these inserts mainly to make a shoe fit a little bit tighter if the size is slightly too big. I do not use them (or any insert) in most of my shoes because most of my shoes fit me perfectly without any inserts. I have also used them to tighten up a shoe that I've worn a lot and has stretched out. The inserts may increase the comfort factor somewhat, but that's not my number one reason for using them. I can tell you for sure that they will NOT turn a pair of uncomfortable shoes into something you can wear all day suddenly.

However, they suit my purposes perfectly. They don't slide around once they are in place. They don't get stinky like some of the cheaper...

Athy: I bought this to try out over my original Dr. Scholl's Ball of Foot padding. I do have mixed feelings about this and I am not sure I will get it again, mainly because the glue/sticker is not all over the whole area of the flower, it's a small 1 inch by 1/2 inch area under the padding that actually has the glue. So... if you are sticking it on a more slippery shoe sole or even a suede/felt type sole, it will not stick, AT ALL. I put it on my heels and I walked only about 20 steps in them and due to the pressure of my foot rubbing on these petals while walking, it caused them to "slip" out through the front side of my heel/sandles (they were open toe). That was kind of embarrassing. After that one incident, I was kind of paranoid that it would happen to the other two shoes I put it on, so I was extra careful to pay closer attention to make sure it does not slip out from under my foot while I'm in public.

The thickness was okay, but it could be a little thicker/cushier. And I really do like the fact that it was non-slip. It felt definitely more non-slip than the Dr. Scholl's one.
