L.C.: This is the second HurryCane we have bought (since my husband misplaced the first one). It helps my husband feel secure walking on various types of surfaces. The cane stands up by itself and folds in thirds so it is easy to store in the car and at home. He is very pleased with it.

Tim: It is not as stable freestanding as I'd hoped but if you patient it works.
I found folding and hanging it over my chair or lying it next to me on a bench at restaurants works better than trying to stand it some where.
Well made, solid but not heavy. Very comfortable handle that grips like natural rubber.

Julie: I've been using this for about six weeks now, on the advice of a physical therapist. Functionally, it does what a good cane should. It was easy to assemble and provides good stability and support.

But the cane began to squeak after a couple weeks of use. Eventually, I discovered that the bottom platform/"foot" of the cane had loosened its threaded connection to the shaft of the cane, and this was the source of the squeak. I seated the foot again and tightened it and the noise went away.

This week, the squeak came back. Sure enough, the foot was loose, and I had to screw it back on. All this in only a few short weeks makes me wonder how long the thing will last, if it's not made better than that.

Mountain Marm: This cane stands up to all conditions. It operates well on any surface, including short periods in uneven terrain. It doesn't stand alone for very long, however. I end up propping it up against a wall or other vertical surface. All things considered, though, it is about the best cane of its kind.

Nyeti: This is an excellent cane as long as it doesn't fall apart! I just bought my third hurrycane. The other two was purchased for my 87 year old father in July of 2015 and I purchased one for myself in October 2015. Both of those fell apart in November and December of 2016 due to the same equipment failure. It is comprised of 3 parts with an elastic bungee cord snaking up the center that is secured under tension on the top and bottom with a white metal clip. This clip keeps the bungee cord from springing back through holes in the center of the cane and the tension keeps the cane in one piece. When the white metal clip broke, the elastic bungee contracted, slipped though the holes and the cane fell apart!
